Ah, the Keldon! It mystifies me why it took them so long to do this one. They already had all the pieces between the Galor and Bajoran Freighter/Troop Transport models. But, better late than never, I guess! :)

I already knew about the first two. The third doesn't really interest me. The Keldon's not so bad, but I already have that one in Micro Machine form, so I wasn't quite as eager to get that one as the Groumall. I'll definitely pick that one up though.

this just arrived. it's not a bird of prey either.

NOOOOIIIIICEEE!
How big is it? Comparable to the regular Trek size, or the XL line?

There is something off about the keldon, I think the shape of the upper plate is wrong

Also I want that Galactica. Why doesn’t eaglemoss ship to Canada?!

Issue 135 - Dala's "USS Voyager" from "Live Fast and Prosper", and Issue 136 - finally! - Cardassian Keldon.

Stoked for the Keldon class. It fills another gap for me in the “ships from Star Trek: Armada II” series, like the upcoming Borg probe. Plus, it’s a notable ship of a major Trek culture, another key bonus.

Wouldn’t have thought of Dala’s Delta Flyer but the episode is fun - I adore Faux!Tuvok. The model doesn’t appear too impressive on first and second glance.

But with more Voyager output, maybe we inch closer to the really cool one-off ships from “Year of Hell”, Benthan cruiser and co-ax ship, Devore warship, Friendship One and do on.

where did the idea for making everything extra large come from ,the original size was more than big enough ,great for one or two models but not for a collection (storage)

ben robinson talked about XL models going back to the early days of the collection, especially in regards to ships like the enterprise-E, which is a great little model in the standard size, but pretty small due to its length and definitely benefitting a large scale model.

i've stopped collecting standard sized models now that all the greatest hits have pretty much been done and i've focused on discovery ships, kelvin timeline specials, the occasional XL, and now battlestar. the change in scale and improved detail has retained my interest in eaglemoss ships, but you're right, storage is a bitch. and it definitely affects how much i buy.

oh also the fact that these things are just getting more and more expensive.

Problem with the XL range is that they do it to the ships that have multiple larger models out there already. They should be doing it to the lesser known ships.

yeah disagree there but i’m certain they’ll get to the lesser known ships soon.

what i’d like to see are some iconic alien ships in XL, romulan warbird, klingon battlecruiser, klingon bird of prey, maybe even a proper borg cube.

Nah, the XL's should definitely be reserved for the "hero" ships and some top villain ships, IMO.

Yes, this! :)

I’m not saying that they shouldn’t do them, just that they should expand the range. You can get large models of the hero ships from various places. I own a few TOS Enterprise models and D.
They should at least make a large Enterprise J. Just so it fits better scale wise with the smaller Enterprise models.

Starships posted on Twitter.
Next two Discovery line models after Sarek’s cruiser are Qugh class, and Cardenas-class USS Buran.
Ooh. I didn't dare hope they'd mark the ship as Buran and not... whatever the Cardenas in BotBS was. The Yeager. Guess they know Lorca is what the people like.

Yeah, the original appearance was the Yeager. Of course we never actually saw the USS Buran which is what the model appears to be labeled as. It only showed up as the ISS Buran in one of the Mirror Universe episodes.
