Well, they tend to keep the "Go, go, Power Rangers" refrain in every series these days, but the rest of the theme is different for each incarnation. The TMNT shows do a similar thing, keeping the famous refrain and changing the rest.

Even Batman has it's low points, at least in terms of commercial viability such as Beware the Batman.

My reaction after the trailer was "Meh, still not feeling it." My reaction after the preview scene was "What the hell was that?" I don't think I'll be watching this one.

None of the companies care about the cartoon, they just want new toys to be sold.
I can't watch this though, the turtles are just too distracting.
I don't know what happened to that show. People were still recovering from the Colorado theater shooting. Alot of focus was put into guns in the media. Something about this show made it look like "Wrong time to debut"
Cartoon Network was also trying to change it's image(dumping Thundercats, Young Justice Green Lantern.) They were more focused on quick 11 minute content.
WB basically let it die on TV. It was probably a contractual thing. The toy line was dismal. There was one figure and a couple of happy meals in another country
Someone just wanted to get rid of this show and act like it never happened.
Eh, unlike some shows (like Young Justice and GL:TAS) Beware the Batman would have died anyway. it looked cheap, with a dead city even for a CG cartoon and bad character designs overall (for example, Batman's design literally didn't allow them to take off his mask on screen, because his head is shaped so radically different then the head on the Bruce Wayne model). Its writing also wasn't good. Its nice to say "We're going with obscure villains", but when you do it badly you just make people want Joker, Riddler, etc even more. I love obscure DC villains, but its hard to sell even a comic nerd like me on villains like Magpie, Anarky, Professor Pyg and Silver Monkey being the main threats. have them in there, sure, but you need to sprinkle in the big bads even if your writing is great, and gradually get people interested in obscure or new villains (like how B:TAS didn't just start the show with Mr. freeze, harley, etc).

The voice cast includes Lean Headey and Johnny Rotten! I don't know, I'm still curious. There's an episode on tonight at 9:30p EST.
I decided to give it another chance and check out the sneak preview episode on Nickelodeon. I made it 6 minutes before I gave up.
I didn't even make it to four minutes before turning it off.
It's already renewed for a second season.
Unwatchable and already renewed for a second season. If that isn't the very definition of the modern entertainment industry I don't know what is.
Like I said, they keep TMNT around just to sell toys. The turtles look awful and act even weirder. However children now-a-days probably love that trash. I mean look at SpongeBob, I never understood the appeal.
