All that said, episodes like "Power Play" establish that there is a Jefferies Tube running above Ten Forward.
 
The Crossfield's shuttlebay JTs are inside those beams on the ceiling, so not strictly between decks. You can see the hatch opened up with Michael jumping out of it.

And Disco rescaling solves this! Okuda's sketch will work if Galaxy class is over a kilometre long!
 
If Ten-Forward really fits in like that, it would make the Ent-D about 1800 metres long!

The model was upscaled to accommodate ten forward. The photo is of the 4ft miniature with the 2x thick saucer rim.

Anyways, this got me thinking of how impractical jefferies tubes are- being a 3ft space that you must crawl on your hands and knees to get through.

This also got me thinking. Wouldn't it totally suck to have your quarters right next to a horizontal turbo lift tube, or right below one? My sister used to live right under the "L" train in Chicago. She didn't live there long.
 
Except that they used the original miniature in Generations, where the thinner saucer rim was conspicuous by comparison.

I don't think you "math'd" that quite right. The scale is 640 meters with 2 decks in the saucer rim.

Warp Factor 1431...(old scale so warp factor cubed)...that's roughly 3 billion times the speed of light.

lol. You assumed the model's saucer rim was scaled for one deck because: concept sketch for first model, then multiplied scale by 3 because I put 3 colors on the picture.

It's more accurate than you realised. A triple deck rim would be needed to fit this room in:
It's not a triple deck. It's a double deck. The saucer rims thickness was doubled in the second model. They went the more comprehensive route, made a whole new model, and kept the scale on the ship the same, because "Make it way bigger" adds no value at all, and throws off every other carefully configured scale, such as windows, shuttle bays, and docking ports.

Ten forward is a small room.

I would imagine that since the Turbolifts appear to operate on some sort of magnetic or repulsor technology, they are probably a whole lot quieter than either a modern mechanical pulley/brake system or even the L Train.

That is my favourite scene of the episode though, the whole thing, not just the -D
