Well, it was bound to happen.
It's a big, weird universe out there. One extra-galactic stray does not an invasion scouting force make. But there were scouts like Nom who observed the galaxy relaying messages to the fleet for the correct time to attack. I assumed the story would be someone discovering them which leads to a mystery which ends unresolved; making a good tease for the New Jedi Order saga.
Where's the fun in no baggage? It's a fun reference that isn't over burdened with left-over baggage.
Lucas was personally funding it out of his own pocket starting with season 3 IIRC. Rumours said $1 Million per episode, but that was never confirmed.
Well I saw those points too - debunked as some saying that the Bad Batch and Crystal Crisis arcs were "done" and as such, wouldn't be revisited.
The opening scene from the second episode of the Bad Batch arc is in the trailer.
It's entirely possible they re-purposed it for the trailer or for another episode, but not everyone has watched those animatics.
Wow. I literally cheered when I heard the news. I mean, I jumped out of my chair, fists pumping in the air, and yelled "YES!" Clone Wars is the reason I'm a Star Wars fan today and I can't wait.
And this is (one) of the reasons I will always have respect for George Lucas. As a storyteller, he left much to be desired. But he clearly loves Star Wars and and Clone Wars really was a passion project for him.

Why stop at 12? Why not do every unfinished episode?
It clearly has a higher budget then Rebels, Disney is probably treating this as a special project.
It’s for their streaming service so I imagine it’ll have a higher budget. Space Show Discovery was similar; having a higher budget than the previous shows because it was a internet show.It clearly has a higher budget then Rebels, Disney is probably treating this as a special project.
I've only read a few of her SW books and honestly, that's no great loss. As I said, that particular depiction of the Mandos was about as fanwanky as I've ever seen a licensed property.Yeah both the Mandalorians and Nightsisters strayed from how they were depicted in the novels/comics before Clone Wars.
The Mandalorians and Clones strayed so much that it reportedly upset Karen Traviss so much that she refused to write anymore Star Wars books.
