Warner bros announce superhero films through 2020

I'd be interested in the BoP movie if it was a real Birds of Prey movie and not a Margot Robbie Harley Quinn movie with the BoP as side characters. Maybe if it succeeds we can see Cassandra Cain (my favorite Batgirl) in a movie where she isn't just around to fill space.

Dammit, what's keeping them from casting a new Catwoman? I want to see if WB has the balls to realize they need an actress in her late 30s so it won't look like Batman is a dirty old man.

Gotham Sirens would've been a perfect debut.

Also, DC's Birds of Prey movie will feature:

Harley Quinn
Cassandra Cain
Renee Montoya
Black Canary
Huntress
That is not the line up I was expecting at all, I was at least expecting to see Catwoman and/or Poison Ivy since they are probably the two other women most associated with Harley. Have they said yet if the villain is a man or women?
Cool concept, but not the greatest execution.

Or a batgirl movie where she is in her thirties

The Wrap article didn't use their codenames/alter egos. Perhaps the film will build up to them adopting those identities.

Nice.
I know they've already announced a Aquaman trailer for SDCC, but would it be to early for a Shazam one too.

Then again, the DCEU isn't big on using superhero code names. Diana of Themyscira has been in three films now without ever being called Wonder Woman in dialogue, and Barry Allen was never once called the Flash in Justice League, while we only got one reference each to "the Aquaman" and "the cyborg." (Though, surprisingly, Superman got called by his codename frequently in the film, and Batman did relatively often.)

Full article at EW.

Asher Angel talks a bit about Billy Batson's background in the movie. Cue @kirk55555 rant.

Disagreeing with you = "rant" apparently :vulcan:

As for the article, its what I expected. Like the current New 52 version, Billy is a little piece of shit, which goes against his entire character for over 70 years. Until Geoff Johns fucks off and leaves DC alone, his shitty version of the character is what will keep showing up, presumably because he has a specific vendetta against the original Captain Marvel and that transfers to the DC movies. So, no surprises there.
