Any other series that has action scenes as good as Disco?

Battle of Binary Stars could have been done much better. I'm not always a DSC cheerleader, though for me oddly enough it looked remarkably similar to an Eve Online battle in terms of how it was played, but it wasn't up to par with DS9 standards.

Hopefully the fx in general wont be so hit and miss from season 2 on

We all know I'm not a big fan of the farty phaser space battle sound effects of Disco. The space stuff is fine, stylized and a bit generic but fine. And there's that blooper where SMG's stunt double ends up holding the phaser backwards. But otherwise no complaints.

It's something new an i am happy about it. I am also curious if any of the old on screen Trek matches up or not? I fail to see why some episodes would not.

Because they're decades old.

Highlights for me were: Burnham's and MU Connor's fight to the death in the elevator, the phaser fight on the MU ship, MU Georgiou in glorious hand to hand combat (I've always been a sucker for Yeoh action scenes).

I am sure there were decent stunt teams that worked on tv even in those days. A man can hope.
