I think it was Q himself that made him say that. He has that power.
I always felt that he was written as being more "human" than the humans.

Geordi's an all around good guy. I guess his main flaw is that he's pretty short & difficult with people who he has opposing perspectives with, Scotty, Leah Brahms, the Exocomp lady. He's just not very empathetic or able to see things from the other guy's point of view. It took that warp field lady killing herself before he finally realized how unreceptive he is to anyone else's alternate mindset. (Which was a good scene for him imho, when he admitted that)Geordi is a good one too. He’s definitely the most relatable when it comes to his choices. He always has good intentions and makes a point to help out others, but like many of us he isn’t perfect.

Who knows, maybe this is why he has such a hard time landing a steady girlfriend. That date with Cristy Henshaw went all wrong because he hadn't considered her at all, like he was trying to program a date with somebody
Oh man, by Klingon standards, he's practically human. I actually figure they'd see his sensibilities as a weakness. Geez, an average Klingon would've killed all of them by now lolWorf (goodness by Klingon culture standards)
