Edith Keeler's or Miramanee's Last Scene

Does that story shed any light on the latest question? I just ordered it on Kindle, so I will find out this weekend if you don't want to answer for "spoiler" reasons.

I meant the original City on the Edge.... story. But the novel is great, too. The German edition is a huge tome....:D

It's a brick. I don't read ebooks but I can understand people who prefer ebooks. You need a lot of space for a book collection.

I won't say I prefer ebooks. I find there are pros and cons with each, and every time I buy a book I need to go though a debate about which choice I should make. In this case, the price was cheaper and I have some time this weekend to read, so the instant delivery was a factor.

Also, thanks for mentioning the book. I look forward to reading it today. (errr ... I mean starting to read it today :) )

I guess @Jinn will agree: the German McCoy tome was one of the biggest books the German publisher has ever released. It didn't keep me from acquiring it, though :D

The size of Cross Cult's Provanance of Shadows is only rivaled by Marvel's oversized 1k pages omnibuses!

Or my Englisch edition The Captain's Table Omnibus. Which I still haven't read except the Calhound story (the German edition). I wish I had acquired each single novel. They just weren't available anymore for reasonble prices.

I only read the NG story and the Pike story as an eBook. I'm looking forward to reading the short stories collection some day.

Not sure exactly, but I started on Saturday and read half of it, then read a little every day to finish it. It went faster than it should have for two reasons. First, the writing is very good which makes it easy to read and comprehend fast. Second, half of the story is in the past and half in the future. The part in the future makes use of many existing star trek stories, and when I got to those parts, I just skimmed those sections. Anyone who knows the TOS episodes and movies really only needs to read 3/4 of the book and can skim the other 1/4.

My best guess is about 8 or 9 hours.
