Well, just got on Amazon.us and found a crapton of books for $3.99...

Check it out!

...though I wonder if they'll go lower....

to gamble or not to gamble, that is the question!

Unfortunately not on Amazon UK. I don't know what's happening over here but I don't think we've had any offers since Vanguard.

It's clear that the PTB have decided that certain markets get these deals and others do not, maybe due to the on going Brexit saga, the lack of strength in sterling or any number of possibilities.

It's really not a great mystery.

No, no mystery but I do find it frustrating and somewhat annoying.

Well as you said you had no idea what was causing at first, I was going by that and not that you felt frustrated than an offer in certain markets isn't avaliable to purchase in the UK.

Glad to see the sale up. That means maybe they pulled the other sites only because certain people were figuring out sales early. There were 6 Stargazer books up for the sale, right? If they were, I think I got them all.

Plus The Buried Age as well.

The following ebooks are newly listed at $3.99 at Amazon US:

TOS: Best Destiny, Diane Carey
TOS: Federation, Judith and Garfield Reeves-Stevens
TOS: Crucible: McCoy: Provenance of Shadows, David R. George III
TOS: Allegiance in Exile, David R. George III
TOS: The Face of the Unknown, Christopher L. Bennett
TNG: Before Dishonor, Peter David
TNG: Armageddon's Arrow, Dayton Ward
DS9: The Missing, Una McCormack
DS9: Sacraments of Fire, David R. George III
DS9: Ascendance, David R. George III
DS9: The Long Mirage, David R. George III
DS9: Enigma Tales, Una McCormack (this one is $2.99)
VOY: Pathways, Jeri Taylor
ENT: Rise of the Federation: Tower of Babel, Christopher L. Bennett
ENT: Rise of the Federation: Uncertain Logic, Christopher L. Bennett
ENT: Rise of the Federation: Live by the Code, Christopher L. Bennett
TTN: Sight Unseen, James Swallow

Why? Your guess is as good as mine. But maybe throw a few bucks @Christopher's, @Una McCormack's, and DRG III's way while you're giving Michael Jan Friedman some royalties this month!

Thanks for the list! I think there's a few in there I haven't picked up yet, I'll be sure to grab them next week on payday.

Quick edit, added up what I didn't own from the list and it's only around 30 bucks, so not a lot for a good chunk of reading added to my growing backlog. Maybe when I finally retire in 30 years I can catch up, I am buying faster than I can read!

I think this might finally motivate me to get Federation, I've been hearing about how good it is pretty much as long as I've been reading Trek books.

FYI, Amazon must've discounted many of those Trek eBooks by mistake - lots of titles from the list shot up by $1.50 or more within a week of my post. I'll check semi-regularly and post updates in the thread as they apply.

Makes sense. I never saw lower prices on those titles on the Nook store.

This is off topic, but I think it might be of interest to anybody who's into general SFF books. Every month Tor.com offers a free e-book, and they've been doing some pretty big books, so far I've gotten Old Man's War by John Scalzi (Old Man's War book 1), The Way of Kings by Brandon Sanderson (The Stormlight Archives book 1), All Systems Red by Martha Wells (The Murderbot Diaries book 1), and A Darker Shade of Magic by VE Schwab (Shades of Magic book1).
They are only up for a few days ad this month's book, ADSoM, has already been pulled, but they should put their next book up around the first or second week of next month.
