Star Wars has had one movie underperform. Clearly it’s a disaster now. [/sarcasm]

I still don't get releasing in May, when they had established a successful pattern releasing in December.
If we judge people's meaning by the memes they post then... a lot of us wouldn't be here! Mind you I don't post them myself but some people that is all they do.The "dissolved by Thanos" meme is all over the internet right now. I wouldn't read too much into it.
Doesn't mean they lost momentum or that somehow it damaged the Star Wars brand. Any more than people stopped being fans because of the PT.Star Wars (in my opinion) lost its momentum with the prequels. Force Awakens brought it back. Last Jedi pissed on Luke. Thanks for that![]()
It's as if the characters in Star Wars are not allowed to be people.![]()
How? I don’t convince myself that all Trek fans are the same, my posting history will even show that I actually point out that this forum is an echo chamber and that the other fans I’m actually friends with avoid this site because of how toxic it is.
Sure sweetie, a blog I’ve never wasted time reading is “important”.
I’m sure you'll claim it as a victory if she steps down in a year or 10 years from now. Can’t ever let a woman control anything, huh?
The Transformers movies have done billions in business. Tickets bought does not equal a quality product.
At the very least it’s super creepy, especially coming from a poster who is absolutely obsessed with her and obsessed with her losing her job. You can practically sense his glee because he’s convinced himself that she’ll be gone any day now because it’s all he thinks about and all he seems to read about due to seeking it out. It’s sick and disturbing on many levels.
I never got to see someone like myself on anything growing up, I didn’t get that until I was 30 and it made a major difference in my life.
The "dissolved by Thanos" meme is all over the internet right now. I wouldn't read too much into it.
It will happen quite soon, the momentum is building.
The funny thing is I'm not even a Star Wars fan. I think Star Wars is totally silly and juvenile for the most part, but I can respect it's role in filmmaking history.
I just find the whole behind the scenes studio drama fascinating and worthy of discussion. I love when all these things go haywire. It was just as amusing seeing the DCEU implode.
Yep. Hilarious though.
But you can mine them for imagery, which you can then turn into memes depicting the death of a Disney employee.
Right. Because vloggers say so.
It really didn't take much effort or time, and it was discussion more centered around the behind the scenes drama, than the actual narrative of the films. You’ve started four topics in a relatively brief period of time and you’re not a Star Wars fan? Right.
.
Which clearly represents her firing as opposed to actual death.
Just waitLike I said, I get bragging rights when Kathleen 'leaves' this yr.
It's only going to continue to build over the next 18 months, unless some regime changes are made over at Lucasfilm.
Even the shills at 'Collider Jedi Council' predict that Kathleen Kennedy will "step down" next year:
It's going to happen within the year.
Nothing funny about implied death.Yep. Hilarious though.
Sure it will. But how is it a victory? You've done nothing, you've just complained about a woman having a position of power.10 years from now wouldn't be much of a victory. Thankfully we won't have to wait that long. It will happen quite soon, the momentum is building and soon mainstream outlets will be having these discussions.
Then why do you care? The funny thing is I'm not even a Star Wars fan. I think Star Wars is totally silly and juvenile for the most part, but I can respect it's role in filmmaking history.
But there isn't, just a bunch of whiny manbabies complaining about a problem that only exists in their heads.I just find the whole behind the scenes studio drama fascinating and worthy of discussion. I love when all these things go haywire. It was just as amusing seeing the DCEU implode.
You keep reminding us. Who are you trying to convince, us or yourself?I can't wait to see how the Kathleen drama unfolds and how Disney will rectify all of this. Some big changes are coming for sure.
Both. I'm a big fan of Rey, she's my favorite character in the franchise. There is a non-binary character in Star Wars, they're in one of the newer books. It's a start but I would like to see some representation in the movies.Because you're transgender, are you referring to a female character? or transgender character? If the later is so, I wasn't sure if one existed in SW yet.
Black Panther was a good movie, it had nothing to do with representation. Representation doesn't affect the quality of a movie in any way. Some movies are great, others are terrible. Only the simple minded seem to think that representation ruins movies.I'm all for representation of all types if handled well (Black Panther)........... especially in a fictional universe populated by weird aliens.
Which clearly represents her firing as opposed to actual death.
When I think of Spider-Man dying, which I do a lot, I think of people being fired. Not the poor kid knowing that he was going to die due to his powers allowing him to sense it coming.Oh nooooo, I never realised! What an astounding revelation! It never crossed my naive waif brain that such thing could be possible?
Or that is what I’d being saying, if I’d ever even hinted that I didn’t understand exactly what he meant.
It’s almost, like, somehow... i have a hard time giving a fuck about the ‘meaning:’ when absolutely everything else about a message is fucking stupid. An image of Mickey Mouse graphically slitting Kennedy’s throat would also have the same meaning, and still be noteable in its ability to identify the poster as being a particularly pathetic and bacteria-ridden troglodyte.
But thanks for explaining ‘it’s all a joke bro.’
He thought he failed Tony Stark, his hero and mentor. He's replaced Uncle Ben as a father figure and he thinks he failed him again.
