Kathleen Kennedy Damaging Star Wars....?

The first person to damage Star Wars was George Lucas back in 1997 when he made changes to the Original Trilogy with his Special Editions. In my opinion, Rogue One has been the only half way decent Star Wars movie since then but it can't hold a candle to the original trilogy.

In my opinion, Rogue One was the best Star Wars film since Empire and was also better than ANH, with the Force Awakens coming directly below it and again above both Jedi and ANH. The Last Jedi was better than all other SW films, except arguably Empire, though I still like TLJ more than Empire regardless. So, I guess, you know - everyone has an opinion...

I'm not sure how much demand there was prior to Disney announcing it was going to, though there was definitely openness and even, quickly after the announcement, excitement. Before some even were thinking there was already too much, at least the reaction to 3D rereleases of the films was often "Huh, what's the point?"
I must have a different group of friends. We were stoked that there would be more Star Wars.

^^I give Rogue One credit for building to a satisfying climactic ending and for having some breathtaking battle scenes in space. The narrative was also much stronger than in TFA, which felt more like a TV pilot.

You're an active member on a Star Trek message board with like 10 other active users.. lol. You're welcome to your own opinion, but let's not bring up this 'echochamber' nonsense. Makes you look like a total hypocrite.
How? I don’t convince myself that all Trek fans are the same, my posting history will even show that I actually point out that this forum is an echo chamber and that the other fans I’m actually friends with avoid this site because of how toxic it is.

All you're doing is burying your head in the sand if you conveniently choose to ignore JeremyJahns, Collider, etc Most, if not all of this channels, are connected to the industry, get invited to press screenings, have a significant podium to speak from, and the PR departments of these major studios have proven before that they are aware of them and do care about their opinion. I most recently watched the Russo Bros speaking on Collider and it was quite interesting how significant the 'echochamber' is in today's film industry landscape.
Sure sweetie, a blog I’ve never wasted time reading is “important”.

Regardless, I'm quite confident big changes as Lucasfilm are coming. The Disney higher ups are, without a doubt, concerned about long-term brand damage to their IP, and what you consider as the supposed 'small minority' will likely get what they want :)
I’m sure you'll claim it as a victory if she steps down in a year or 10 years from now. Can’t ever let a woman control anything, huh?

That’s really mature and reasonable.

It took me a minute to figure out what was going on in that Thanos picture, and I've to got to say that is unnecessary and disgusting. You don't like her, fine, but stuff like that is really crossing the line. I doubt it was how you actually intended it, but it seems like that could be interpreted as a death threat, so you might want to be careful how much you spread it around.

This is the internet-no one is careful. These threads exist so that when Kennedy steps down "Ding-Dong, The Witch is Dead" memes have a home.

It's sad that we are at a point that there is active wishing for someone to loose their job and be out of work. Over a movie.

One of my friends and I have seen every single movie since Episode III together on opening night. We both love the new movies. I don’t think they’re perfect and I’ll criticize parts of it. But I don’t hate the movies or want anyone involved fired because it isn’t 100% perfect to me. But I’m a reasonable adult and not a spoiled child.

I am a white, cisgender male. As a child, I had Luke Skywalker to look up to in my Star Wars. When Disney announced the cast for the new movies, I didn't stop to think of the idea that there wasn't a white male at the lead. I thought, hey, this is great! I live in South Texas and I see children of color in stores wearing Star Wars shirts with people that represent THEM. 20 years ago, that wouldn't be a thought. I give Kathleen and Disney HUGE kudos for giving boys and girls what I had growing up -- someone to look up to. I get so sick of this idea that there's this "SJW agenda" that's being pushed. If you call giving a child something to look up to a "SJW agenda," well, I don't want to know you.

It’s really wonderful. I got my niece a lightsaber because she loves Rey so much. I never got to see someone like myself on anything growing up, I didn’t get that until I was 30 and it made a major difference in my life. I’m glad that others won’t have to deal with that and I can’t stand the people who would deny it because they just want to see white guys because they lack the ability to be able to relate to or have empathy for women, people of different races or LGBTQ people. Because the rest of us have managed to do it for years and if they can’t do the same then maybe something is wrong with them.

Let's not soft pedal this. Whoever created this image knew that they were making a picture of Kathleen Kennedy being murdered by sci-fi devices. Showing her getting killed was why it was made. The only question in my mind is whether the person who posted it here created it himself, but I won't comment further on that, partly because I see no upside to my linking to hate channels on the web.

At the very least it’s super creepy, especially coming from a poster who is absolutely obsessed with her and obsessed with her losing her job. You can practically sense his glee because he’s convinced himself that she’ll be gone any day now because it’s all he thinks about and all he seems to read about due to seeking it out. It’s sick and disturbing on many levels.

The "dissolved by Thanos" meme is all over the internet right now. I wouldn't read too much into it.

Cool story. Critics, Audiences, Fans and General audiences disagree with you, and Marvel Studios has eclipsed Star Wars as the box office juggernaut, 4 Billion this year is guaranteed. That's a historic accomplishment.

The Transformers movies have done billions in business. Tickets bought does not equal a quality product.

Hell, millions bought the Ford Pinto.
