1/24 Scale N-Type Shuttlecraft

Those of us on Facebook with the Admiral here, got to see him showing the model to Rick Sternbach at Wonderfest. Not that I'm jealous or anything. No, no, not at all.

In... credible.

It looks so realistic in the photos it almost looks CGI in some shots. I could only imagine what Sternbach thought. Or what GR himself would think. This is very much true to the style of TOS, and what it may have looked like if they had the budget (and 3D printers and LED's).

Dear GOD!

That thing looks better than any of the models we ever saw in the show! It doesn't even look like a model, but a full-scale vehicle. Buck, that's a work of art, and I sincerely look forward to all your future projects. Forbin mentions above that you showed this to Sternbach -- what was his reaction?

Thank you all so much for your very kind comments. Mr. Sternbach had been studiously following each step of my build on Facebook and when I finally met him at Wonderfest he was ecstatic which was just thrilling for me. His glee at seeing it completed and his expression of my interpretation of Trek design - in his words - "getting it", meant the world to me. Truly a moment I will cherish.

Nice work man! It's also very rewarding that Rick to give those compliments. So... What are you going to do next?

Yep.

History teaches us that the truly great will be remembered for their accomplishments. These boards, however, teach that they need to keep making more!

Thank you. Yes, I realize all of this work is fleeting but the work never stops. I have more ideas for projects than I have the time but I stick to a 10 month schedule to complete one from concept to final. There are three new ideas currently in the works, but we'll see which one is ready to go by September.

I don't know where to start. This is a marvelously well thought-out concept model. I am in awe of your talent and how you integrated the physicality of the models interiorso with the illustrations, especially the view of the crewman looking back from the cockpit into the cabin. I know you said you had integrated some of the mythos of 2001 design. However, the image I referenced above almost remindes me of an image of Dave Bowman from the movies, looking from the access passage towards the bridge.
Have you completed the model? If so can you tell me where I can view it. I am still new to this site in terms of finding my way about. Any assistance or information would be most welcome. I look forward to seeing the entirety of your work. Best of luck in your future endeavours.
