Scruffy-looking untitled Han Solo film thread

I understand the Episodes can't get far enough away from A New Hope and that the stand alones can't get far at all.

And the only existential crisis I'm experiencing is that Rian Johnson exists.

If true, It’s going to confuse a whole lot of casual watchers.

But drive some of them to go watch the Prequels and expand their knowledge of the wider franchise, thus defeating the agenda of the rabid Prequel Trilogy haters and fanatics. It's a win-win.

Or should I drop seventeen fifty on a Han Solo origin film that takes place ten years before a forty one year old movie.
If the price bothers you, go see a 2-D screening without getting anything at the concession stand. You can further decrease the price by checking to see if your theatre has a cheap day if so, going then.

That’s exactly what I do. I also can’t see 3D sp it would be an even bigger waste of money

Actually I think this will confuse more those that don't watch the Clone Wars and Rebels cartoons more than anything else.

That wasn't exactly the point. Honestly, I have no intention of giving this franchise any more money .
I'll probably just get a matinee ticket for Avengers or Deadpool and make a double or triple feature out of it.

My original point and reason for being in this thread was to remark on the irony of one movie saying to forget about Han Solo while another asks you to pay to see more.

The rest of my posts have been responses to people giving me off topic advice on how to save money at the movies, criticizing my giving an opinion because it doesn't match their own and saying things like "evidently" because they think they're making a cute back-handed remark when all they're really doing is just proving my point that they quoted.

I'm gonna bounce for now before the nerd play book gets to accusation of martyrdom; Besides after almost an entire page of this nonsense, It would seem I'm becoming something of a lightning rod for schmucks.

I'll pop back after I see the movie.

So apparently Solo is the first time they’ve built the falcon as a single set, Pablo gives a short tour of the set with some fun facts, 6:19 in

You obviously were not paying attention to TLJ.

in fact the reverse happened. Luke gave Han's (albeit fake) dice to Leia, he came back to help the rebellion, Yoda was laughing at him trying to forget the past. Hell Luke looked horrified when he thought the books were being burned (they were not, Rey took them, you can see them on the Falcon later in the movie)

Luke later says "I won't be the last of the Jedi", obviously deciding that they should continue, that the past should not be forgotten.

They only person truly wanted to let go of the past the Kylo, the villain

So yeah, I think you missed the point.
