That's cute, i love hearing how people met.

My grandparents have a cute story. My grandmother's brother was in the army and would send my grandma letters. In one letter he included a pucture of himself and his new buddy. Grandma wrote back and mentioned that his buddy was very cute. So then she got a letter back from the buddy saying hey if you think I'm cute let's be friends. They were married for almost 60 years

Awww, that's so sweet.
My best friend's (I've known her since junior high) husband works with one of my husband's friends. Somehow they got to talking about the "perpetual singles" they knew and decided to try and set us up. We emailed for a while, then he called and asked me on a date, and in August we'll celebrate 13 years together. :) For the first three years he lived in another town and we only saw each other on weekends and when we were on vacation, but then he asked for and got a transfer at his company and we moved in together.
 
My sister met her husband online, I don't know why people are so skeptical? My cousin keeps going to bars and she is very frustrated she isn't meeting someone.

I always likened it to meeting up with someone on a night out and if they do "come down on it" (I assume it's a negative term) I would make the judgement call and assume they're rather closed minded.

I know of a few people who have met through the interweb, one of my best mates met his wife through match and one of Mrs-dimesdan's cousins met his girlfriend through Tinder.
