Avengers Infinity War (and beyond) anticipation thread

Let's be honest, Peter in the comics really should have been outed several times by now...it's just that anytime that should happen the people around him develop contrived stupidity to ensure it doesn't.

Sunnydale Syndrome.

Do NY cabbies use dashcams? If so then even though it didn't get his face, someone definitely has footage which provides Spider-Man is a high school kid. ;)

Run the search terms "New York City", "taxicab" and "dashcam" through YouTube. I think the answer is "yes" at this point.

Ned- There's a spaceship! We're going to die!

Yeah, that's a bad sign. There is no good reason to hide the movie, critics are really good at not revealing stuff. I still really want to see the movie, but this is either a bad sign or Disney are just being assholes again and trying to fuck with critics. Anyone who wants spoilers will know the entire plot about 10 minutes after the first Thursday night screenings end anyway.

I rather see the movie first before jumping to conclusions.

Everyone associated with this film has an amazing track record; Feige, the Russos, the writers, the cast.

Enough to give this film the benefit of the doubt.

It's sad that some of these characters will be killed off in these two films. Iron Man/RDJ is safe, but Chris Evans/Cap potentially dying is quite sad. I've never seen so many likeable characters in one franchise. Heck, even Ned is likeable.

Yeah, I would say Tony is high on the list to die alongside Tony.

The only ones I would say are safe from dying are Spider-Man, Dr. Strange, Black Panther (and supporting characters), Ant-Man, and the core group of the Guardians of the Galaxy. Essentially those who've been introduced in the last few years.

That's pretty much my safe list as well, I figure pretty much all of the original core Avengers, except probably Black Widow and maybe Hawkeye are the most likely to die.

I'd say Black Widow as well. If they kill her off after all that talk of committing to a movie, they're digging their own grave.

Well, based off of the comic event, they could kill off half the Avengers in this movie and bring them back in the next one and it would fit with the Infinity event theme.

Lots of mentions of "Snapping fingers" I hope the movie doesn't really end with Thano's snapping his fingers and some Avenger's disappearing from existence.

Also Dr. Strange went forward in time to see if there's any positive outcome's. Stark asks "Did we win any?" to which Strange gives a somber look.

I think the only thing that's going to die are the audience expectations about who is going to die.

Well, the ad campaign and year long production coverage are to blame for that; between the constant talk of "the big three" actors' contracts expiring, to thinking the film is going to be a point-by-point adaptation of the comic, its all been "who? who dies???" among endless MCU fans. Its all they can talk about, so yeah, they might be in for a letdown when all is said and done.

Movie ends with everybody dying and they reboot the whole thing.

Heh! Marvel does not have the balls to go down that road.
