The Walking Dead - Season 8 finale--
"Wrath"
Rick: So, the injury Rick suffered in the flash forward (S8 / E1) happened here. Brutal fake-out to cut Negan's throat, and a very effective reveal of the entire group watching him. Truly powerful moments with Maggie and Rick. The Rick and Carl flashback was the right way to close--even in the shadow of the mutineers' scene.
Negan: Although he was spared, come on...Negan is not through causing trouble...
Dwight: Nice resolution to his story--and the fact Sherry is alive.
Jadis: Her real name is Anne? If she ends up at the Hilltop, will she stand against Maggie? After all, she spared Negan's life....
Laura: She surrendered, but her loyalty to Negan should be rewarded with a car to somewhere else.
Eugene: Although I was aware of the bullet trick, I believed he was sick of Rosita's never-ending abuse, and was ready to break all ties to the old gang. Now that he has effectively ended the entire Savior threat, he should be one of the most respected members of the community.
Father Gabriel: J[FONT=Open Sans]umping out of the moving car--brave move, but someone not used to rolling while travelling at high speed (most people) risks breaking bones, and with that, he would have been a nice, stationary meal for the walkers.
Decking Negan! One of the best moments of the last few seasons. Very, very pleasing.
...and he never lost his faith--or his vision. Wonderful how this all happens in the church.

Morgan: I do agree with his line that he (and Rick) are worse than they were before. I doubt Rick sparing Negan and a time jump will change that, with betrayal on the horizon
NOTES: Maggie, Jesus and Daryl: Plotting against Rick and Michonne? This could be the real beginning of the end of characters like Daryl, if not the end of the series. This is the darkest ending of a WD series so far.
So that's it. Fine, troubling end to the season, and according to the media supporting this, the finale is supposed to wrap up storylines covering all eight seasons--Morgan, obviously being one of those stories. The next phase of TWD is anyone's guess, but i'm hoping I does not plunge right into the Whisperer arc.
...and not a single death of a major character, which shattered months of social media predictions.
