Any reference of V in VI?

Unlike the 1701-A Bridge set in TFF being remodeled for TUC, the Type-2 Phaser introduced in TFF was re-used, as is, as the assassins weapons in TUC.

While that photo is from STV, I doubt they used it because they wanted to reference that movie. I think they used it just because it was a nice shot of all the crew.
Well, V would be the least problematic film to use a publicity shot from, as using one from TMP would have had Decker and Ilia in the shot (plus those horrible uniforms), II would have had Saavik, III and IV would have had the crew in civilian clothing (and been missing Spock in the former film's case), and VI would have had Valeris in the shot and/or been missing Sulu.

II has crew shots with and without Saavik but maybe they didn't look older enough from the JJcrew in that picture for it to be used plus the bridge isn't turned 'on' and not enough of it shown http://media.aintitcool.com/coolproduction/ckeditor_assets/pictures/4879/original/crewkhan.jpg

IV there was a promo shot of them in the shuttle with GR http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_rzdB5a4kLAo/ScmDpnJv34I/AAAAAAAANis/iQCVfVFJbFw/s400/SaarTrek_cast_IV.jpg
or maybe they could've used a shot of them at the end on the bridge (which looks abit JJprise bridge)

VI had the crew shot with sulu/no Valeris. But they are all kind of stood awkwardly on the bridge http://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2015/06/04/21/295C5EE100000578-3111427-image-a-98_1433448736092.jpg.

Its kind of amusing they used V (plus its the best crew shot) but it couldve been nice to use something from VI as its the last time they were all together and was the anniversary movie like Beyond. maybe they could've used the final shot of them and photoshoped Sulu in? https://screengoblin.files.wordpress.com/2015/07/constitutionbrc3bccke2293.jpg

I did not know that! Is it hard to see?
I don't recall to be honest, just a useless factoid rolling around in my brain. :)

BUT! ...I looked it up and it is quite visible in an ep of Voyager (Child's Play), which also put it on a star chart.

I'm glad they didn't. I hate it when movies/TV use screenshots and pretend they are photos that were taken within the fictional reality.

Really? I find the STV group shot to be much more awkward. It's just Kirk sitting in a chair with the rest of the crew lined up behind him. Yawn.

The STVI shot has a much more interesting composition, and the cast looks more affectionate with each other. Plus, it has the added meaning of being from the very last film they all did together. It's one of my favorite Trek publicity stills. I really wish they'd used that shot instead.

It could have been a case of when were they all together. For example if they had used the shot form ST2 when would they have taken it as they left Spacedock right after they came onboard and then got a little to busy to just stop and take a crew picture. The ST4 and end of ST6 stills aren't really an option IMO as it was supposed to be a crew picture but the one from 6 would have been good, they could have taken it in 2290 on the same day Sulu was leaving to go to the Excelsior if you need a reason for them taking a crew picture anyway. But either the 5 or 6 picture make the most since to me as the crew was serving together at the time and both are nice pictures.

How many of the movies/tv shows mention others? can't be that many.
Pretty much all the shows mention or feature an element of all the existing shows at some point.

TNG had Bones, Scotty, and Spock guest. They visited DS9. Picard spoke to Janeway. They listed a planet named after Archer (NEM).

DS9 had Picard guest, did Tribbles, guested Zimmerman and Tuvok.

VOY visited DS9, featured Riker, featured Sulu.

ENT had the TNG-set finale, Section 31, The (TOS) Defiant...I don't recall a specific VOY reference on ENT, but I'd be surprised if there wasn't something.

In terms of direct references, though, the TNG-onward shows tended to reference the TOS films in more indirect ways, rather than having explicit references. The only TOS film that seemed to get regular, direct references in the TNG era was The Undiscovered Country, likely because the Federation-Klingon peace treaty was such a large part of the backstory of that era.

Good Point. Also, Reunification I and II came out soon before The Undiscovered Country was released, so in a way to tease the movie, Spock referenced Kirk and himself before we actually saw what he was talking about.

Curses! Why did you have to say that? Now I won't rest until I/we find one!

...Apart from the technobabble (say, a "warp coil" being a single compact component of a warp drive, rather than dozens of unobtainium donuts in a row)? And besides the recycled alien starship designs, which were the opposite of reference (that is, they were supposed not to be recognized as VOY things)?

I'd count all of "Regeneration" as a reference, with ST:FC a mere messenger boy for all the Borg newness fundamentally introduced by VOY.

But anything more specific than that...

I like that shot. Nimoy was trying, and failing, to be in character, and his ghost of a smile there is charming.

But the TNG onwards writing staff certainly seemed determined not to reference V at any costs - I remember Ron Moore saying somewhere (probably with his tongue in his cheek, natch) that the only reason they didn't order Jonathan Frakes to redo the closing shot of First Contact (which was a replica of V's) was that actually doing so would have been too expensive.
On top of the TNG: "Evolutions" reference, writer Michael Piller also made another reference to The Final Frontier the following year, albeit one that didn't make the final cut of the episode -- in Season 4's "Family," when Wesley is viewing the message from Jack Crusher, his dad mentions that one particular Crusher-ancestor was a "horse-thief on Nimbus III" (or words to that effect).

This little moment ultimately got snipped from the final aired version of the episode, but it showed that Piller evidently loved making nods to the fifth movie here and there when he was running that show.
