Will be there be nudity in Season 2?

I will take a brothel scene over the endless number of people who sleep in the nude. I guess some people might do that in real life but I have never seen it for myself. Also the endless number of shower scenes. Is making love in a shower really all that sexy? Though the twist on it is equally absurd were people walk around in towels. Do people really do that? I thought most people just dry off with a towel and put some clothes on.

Erm.....
It’s a big world....

I can't think of a single reason why there would be nudity, except to titillate the mostly male audience. Which is a pretty pathetic reason to have a nude scene. It never really contributes to the storyIt's a show about exploring space, meeting aliens and sometimes having to fight aliens. If you want nudity, its on the internet and it isn't hard to find. There's probably some that's Star Trek related if you're that desperate too.

It's also pretty disgusting to say you don't want to see certain actresses nude because of immature complaints about their appearance.

I think it’s also disgusting to say you want to see certain actresses nude...everyone can have their crush on screen characters etc, but there are ways of expressing that non?

Sex scenes usually are a bad use of time. Why spend 5 minutes showing people have sex when you can be using that time speeeding things up to create more tension or add something character oriented to help add depth to a character. Remember the sex scene in the first "Terminator" movie that feels out of place and brings the movie to a a halt for a moment. I mean you do need them to have sex because Sarah has to give birth to John Connor but we don't need to see the actual sex. Would anyone want to watch Jack Bauer on " 24" back in the day stop at McDonalds for a short meal and we watch him eat ever bite. It's the same issue. Some things only need to be implied.

Ironically that’s probably the least ‘unnecessary to the plot’ sex scene in an eighties action film. It’s literally the future they are trying to make happen, happen. It’s the moment that Reese basically seals his fate...he would know from his future with John that he’s gonna die. It’s possible that John knew it when he sent him back. It’s the precise moment that shows them starting to ‘win’ against skynet, and make his mission into a suicide mission, as well as tying into the traditional ‘extreme events lead to emotional connection’ thing that is common to movies of the era, without being the cliche ‘hero kisses girls at the end...probably undone for the sequel’ occurring. It’s also a very human physical act, the opposite of the Terminator cutting its eye out elsewhere in the film. Bad example, though I know what you are reaching for.

Honestly I feel more nudity would be totally in line with Roddenberry's vision. Read the TMP novelisation written by him. Gets pretty goddamn 70s hippy free love.

Given how the hippies have been depicted in TOS, I wouldn't be too sure about that.

It breeds a sense of entitlement to own everything about this person you have a deep parasocial relationship with. And if your favourite TV show doesn't deliver what you want, you turn to stuff like the Fappening, self justifying it to yourself because, well, they're famous aren't they?

I should probably be OK with not knowing what that is.

Yeah don't Google it.
Basically, massive leak of stolen celebrity private pictures, including nude/sexual images from cloud storage.

Ah. I see.
The internet has become a much more...unpleasant place in the last twenty years or so. Maybe 56k modems and the arcanity of computers made for a better world.

Regardless, you're argument is flawed. I'm not an actor on this series so I shouldn't be held to the same scrutiny as those in the industry.

What level of scrutiny should performer's looks be held to?

Dude. The catsuit on her looked great. It isn't sexist for a confident attractive woman to show off her feminine physique. If anything, it empowering.

No. It isn't.

Aren't you talking more about obsession than sex fantasies? Seems like famous people have had to deal with people getting obsessed to a point where they start to confuse reality from fiction or even think they know a stranger just because they read about them or I guess today it would be following them on twitter. Also doesn't this go beyond just sex? People have been murdered because they have become the focus of someone who has become unhinged. I think lots of desire to see nudity also comes from people who are simply lonely and maybe feel desperate, I know all about feeling lonely and desperate to a point where I would proably have had sex with anyone just to feel a connection. Sex fantasies are not always evil. Sometimes they are just sad. Also what in the world is Fappening?

Is it odd that I like my porn to have a plot?

Probably not, may be that what gets your attention so to speak is the scenario as much as the actual acts performed. Is arguably why erotica is so popular. Certainly the written word does as much for me as pictures.

This is a totally different situation however, with people watching a TV show which isn't porn but feeling that as a consumer they are entitled to declare they want to see a particular actor or actress naked, as though by being the customer they have some sort of control or ownership over that person's body.

The counter argument to this is they are celebrities. They are making millions from people by putting themselves out there and marketing their image.

In today's social media-driven industry, now more than ever that means that celebrities don't have the same luxury of privacy, compared to normal people.

That's the price you pay for making all that money with the goal of being famous. It's a trade-off.

Depends on the plot.

Which is a terrible counter. They market their image on their terms. That does not make them objects or commodities which you can own or demand to see in certain ways.

Actually they have exactly the same rights as everybody else. Including that to exercise control over their own bodies.
