Breakfast Foods and Coffee Thread

In these trying and divisive times, one needs to know whom to trust. So I ask the dreaded
question:

Do you like you like your eggs fried, over-easy, scrambled, or (gasp!) boiled?

I like mine scrambled so I can mush them up with my hashbrowns.

(I saw a headline that said ones' politics could be determined by this question. I've no idea how.)

Have a great day, Folk!

 :rommie: :)

I vary them, no need to label myself with a prerference
Me too, I just saw that headline and thought 'How absurd.' So naturally I thought to ask the Board Folk
their opinions. Might brighten a few days. As the Amusement Park Planet Keeper asserted, the more
intelligent, the more the need for play. (especially nowadays)

There is of course poached eggs, though I tend not to eat eggs. I think working on a battery farm for a few years put me off them.

It depends on how exactly I'm eating the eggs, but generally over medium.
In a sandwich they'd be fried or scrambled...

I like eggs very very much and eat them in any fashion though I haven't eaten them scrambled in some years. I eat an egg every day. Currently I'm boiling them for about 3.5 minutes and then cutting them in half and eating them on ramen, or rice, or toast. I could write a very long post about eggs, my personal history of egg eating and egg preferences.

My dad always scrambled them with cream cheese, it was good.

Mine have access to a 30 foot yard and two outhouses with henhouses in, stocked regularly with fresh straw and constant food through the day, plus often as not the back door is open and they wander into the living room. They are arguably the most free range it's possible to be without actually being, y'know, free.

I like eggs. I'll eat eggs anyway I can. If I'm feeling kinda lazy I'll do hard boiled because it's the least effort but otherwise anything goes.

The real question, as it applies to hard boiled, is do you eat them hot or cold? I have always eaten them hot. My wife has always eaten them cold and thinks I'm gross for wanting to eat them hot.

I do not like them
In a house.
I do not like them
With a mouse.
I do not like them
Here or there.
I do not like them
Anywhere.
I do not like green eggs and ham.
I do not like them, Sam-I-am.

That being said, I like all of the options in the OP, but scrambled eggs are probably my favorite.

Refrigerator cold eggs straight in boiling water for 7min30sec, then under cold running water for 50sec to stop the boiling, the result is easy-to-peel eggs that are perfectly "smiling". That, with some cured smoked trout on a baguette... !!

I do the same thing, but usually I'll scramble them with fresh cooked bacon bits. :techman:

There's nothing like a hot boiled egg sprinkled with bacon bits, IMHO.

Century eggs anyone?

My favorite way would be as a classic omelet, with just a pinch of cheese and chopped spinach.

I also enjoy them scrambled, over easy, or fried for a breakfast sandwich.

I like my eggs to be made of chocolate, and filled with peanut butter.

Oh, you mean actual eggs from actual chickens? Then I prefer them mixed into a cake batter.

I hardly ever eat eggs just as eggs. That being said, I will try to have an omelet once or twice a year.
