What Star Trek forum was this?

Lemme start off by saying that yeah, I know this is kinda vague and it's a long shot.

Hey, guys, for whatever reason I'm remembering that there was a Trek forum that I used to frequent way back in the day. It had one of those phpBB designs. I remember that among the most frequent users there was someone with John Crichton as avatar.

There was also a user who was a furry and seemed way more interested in furry stuff than in Star Trek. Like their avatar was a cute animal drawn in an 80s or 90s style And this furry user only posted in initial caps. Like Every Sentence Was Capitalized Like This For Some Reason. IT gave the effect that they really thought that they were an anthro animal.

Anyway, Just wondering if anyone else might have an idea of that forum and if they were members?

hmm, difficult one as there used to be so many. Can you give us an approximate time frame and perhaps the dominating colour(s) in the board's design? That'd narrow the possibilities down a trifle.

Just a day or two ago I saw a post here at trekbbs where a user typed exactly like that...
I can't remember where tho... but there's that off chance that it's the same person....

There are a few people who use capitalisation in quite individual ways from time to time, but never seen anything quite like that in here.

This forum you're looking for sounds like... this one. They used to used phpBB here, we have a couple of furries and one guy in particular who does the capitalisation thing. Your name also seems familiar.

there are/were phpBB Trek boards galore: Terran, EFCL, Lonaf, Wordforge, SpaceBar, TK, aSciFiCom, to name only a few.

Thanks for the tip, pl1ngpl0ng. It can't be a poster in MISC else I'd have encountered him/her. That doesn't narrow the field much but it's still better than nothing.

Was it the now defunct startrek.com forums?

Or was it a shipping forum? Knew some of those for ENT and VOY. Also knew an ENT forum that only recently went belly up.

Thanks for the response, guys. Um, IIRC, it was black, and had stars as the background. I wanna say that it was around 10 years ago. I think that people just stopped going. The Ben Browder guy, I think, was the moderator Back on that site I was probably calling myself DiscoSoup. That's the name that I go by for almost everything online, besides here, RPG.net and any other forum that covers an area where I have an interest as a writer.

It's called Proper Case, as in proper names like John Doe, Civic Center, San Francisco, etc.
