You might have already discussed this issue, but I was curious about this image:
The wall is asymmetrical and the tubes behind them are off-center as well. What was your reasoning for this? Is it just a matter of once you fill in the blanks, that's what results, given the location of the right side wall, and the part of the ceiling we can see on the show?
If the tubes are supposed to be on their own...I guess. But they could be mirrored on the other side of the ship. But that would make engineering significantly wider if it was made into one big room. Maybe there are two engineering rooms? A port side and a starboard side, with one being "main" engineering with Scotty's office and the ability to control the other?
I guess my question boils down to, why mirror the curve of the ceiling when it necessarily creates the impression that the tubes are off-center? Just curious, not a criticism.![]()
Looks just like being there Donny; as always, great job!!
Are you planning on doing the 1st season engine room? In the episode "The Enemy Within" it shows much more of the RH side of the engine room. Just curious since you had this much done it doesn't seem to be too hard to do the earlier version (even though the room is 4' longer).
And, FYI, I want to finish up the Emergency Manual Monitor and the Dilithium Storage Control Room (as seen in “The Alternative Factor”) before moving on from Warp Engineering.
