Donny's TOS Enterprise Interiors

Regarding the TAS nacelle interior, the scene was produced when the current thinking was that the M/AM reaction occurred inside the nacelles themselves, much like a commercial jet. With that in mind, I see the reactants being split and fed directly into the individual (reinforced) warp coils. That way, the resulting energy can be absorbed directly by the coils, without the need for miles of plasma conduits that otherwise represent just another potential point of failure.
Obviously, by TMP plasma conduit technology had improved to the point where this was no longer a concern

That would be fantastic! I'd really appreciate it. I'm planning to build a lot of the set pieces in scale for 34 mm gaming models. Orthos would be perfect.

Told you it would be quick and dirty. Forgive the poor shadow quality and lack of reflections

Donny - had you ever given thought to building the main warp reactor chamber that was seen in the TAS episode "One of Our Planets is Missing"? It's quite an impressive concept, if it can fit into the ship.

No, I haven't. I'm not the biggest TAS fan, and really am not interested in working some of the interiors seen in that show into this project. However, I'm not completely against the idea, I just don't really have a fondness for it, nor do I consider it hard canon. Lemme check out the episode in question and see how I feel about it.

Every time I see those converters with the big drum in the middle, I half expect Scotty to open it up and take out his wash. Seriously, they remind me of those big industrial washing machines. :p

This shot would almost be complete, save for a final pass of lighting and the mesh in the green windows up there. Oh, and the desktop viewer on the right-hand console. Also still have to model the foyer console, the "office" to starboard of the foyer, and the Emergency Manual Monitor Room

Is this in-game or in 3ds Max? If Max, what renderer are you using?
