This first person shooter is the best Star Trek game ever found yet. Anyhow if there is a livelier one feel free to post. Maybe just a favorite Star Trek game finding best instead too.

I liked the second one even better.

I loved both Elite Force I and II. I maybe has the edge due to it depicting Trek's first gay relationship outside of the novelverse, if players chose a female Alex Murphy.

I enjoyed Star Trek (2013) a lot, too. Not amazing, but not nearly as bad as everyone made it out to be.

I liked that 2013 Star Trek game too! I wish they'd make it Backwards Compatible for Xbox One because I want to finish it!

Elite Force had a better story and felt more like Star Trek. I liked the downtime parts on Voyager between missions, and the interaction with the characters. EF2 was more of a generic shooter with hardly anyone familiar on the Enterprise-E.

I always played as Alexandra Murphy - another reason I didn't like EF2 as much.

That's a bit ironic, because I actually thought II felt more like Star Trek, since it involved a lot more familiar races.

I'm not sure how that's ironic! EF2 was still pretty good, but EF1 felt like being in an episode of the show. All the best Trek games captured this.

Perhaps, but Star Trek is more than just having franchise recognizable species appear in a story.
Other than their look in general these species did not add much to it other than playing on the tropes such as the Ferengi trader and the rules of acquisition or a faction of Romulans that seek to wage a war with the Federation and perhaps overthrow their own government with technology that can create an army of alien killing machines.
EF2 may have perhaps even relied to much on fan recognizable material appearing in the game to cover up that it is not doing much new for the rest.

I find Elite Force 2's storyline very bland and the mystery was not that intriguing. Once the exomorphs are revealed they just become another "creature" enemy next to the Star Trek species that appear as foes.
The revelation that the Romulans had taken over the alien factory control planet is perhaps something one may see in a Star Trek story but in the context of Star Trek action stories it is a pretty standard plot.

It may pass as the storyline for a Star Trek game and CBS/Paramount probably approved how much use EF2 made of iconic Star Trek stuff but it is not really anything praise worthy.

By design or by accident? It's largely a great game as it does feel like it captures the spirit of Trek quite well, The Borg weren't perfect but considering the game mechanics, but I wouldn't necessarily want to be pandered to.
