I can see why they deleted, though fun, I think the line of "You're not the god of hammers!" was used better at the climax and by Odin.

Ok, I'm glad you said that, because that really confused me.
Jeff Goldblum with the tentacles is both hilarious and disturbing.

It just occurred to me just how friggin super-advanced the Asgardians really were.

According to BTS stuff, the 9 Realms aren't just 9 different worlds...they're 9 worlds in 9 different Galaxies. Asgard itself is in an entirely different Galaxy from Earth, and their Transporter Machine (Bifrost) allowed instant teleportation across 9 Galaxies nearly instantaneously. To say nothing of how it could be used to destroy Planets in minutes if need be. They can teleport you to and from another Galaxy and destroy any planet in a different Galaxy without leaving Home at all with no way to see the attack coming.

That's like, Death Star several times over. The ability to destroy a planet potentially several Galaxies away and the inhabitants not able to do anything to stop it...and that's an UNINTENTIONAL ability of the Bifrost.

I didn't know any of that. I honestly figured the Realms were all really close together.

The first Thor movie showed Yggdrasil being a "tree" made up of connections between what were clearly 9 different Galaxies, and the BTS stuff explicitly says they're 9 Galaxies.

I don't think I gave much thought as to whether they were individual galaxies, but I thought the first movie at least made it pretty explicitly clear that they were all astronomically far apart from each other.

The second movie shows us a Hologram of the 9 Realms, each one was clearly represented by a different Spiral Galaxy.

That means the Asgardians have a teleporter that allows instant teleportation across Galaxies and can be used to destroy a planet in an entirely different Galaxy. That's crazy range and power.

To say nothing of how fast the FTL the other aliens have is. GOTG takes place in the Andromeda Galaxy meaning that most of the aliens we see can travel from one Galaxy to the other. If Ego was on the other side of the Galaxy from where Rocket and co were in GOTG2 when they did their mega-Gate jaunt then they traveled like 220,000 Light Years in like 10 minutes.

This is like, beyond Star Wars.
