except.... there's still that weird notch on the starboard side of the saucer. not sure what that thing is but it's present on both standard refit models and it's weird. Now THAT is what the E-A should look like! Looks as if they did a subtle aztecking on the hull, which is nice, and they finally did a decent job on the nacelles. This definitely doesn't appear to be an up-scale from the smaller model, thankfully.
there's some really nice details here though. the blue paneling on the ventral section of the stardrive is particularly interesting since the blue detailing was almost invisible on the standard model. hope they fixed the deflector dish too, but that might be too much too hope for.Oh, well...the 3D mesh seems to be to blame for this one. They can only print what they're given.![]()
First reaction: Squeeeeeee! Wanted this for ever.
More Klingon/Romulan cross-contamination that has saturated the franchise in all universes since TSFS. They called it a "Klingon Warbird" in the movie, remember?
they're clearly working from this model:First reaction: Squeeeeeee! Wanted this for ever.
Second reaction: Why is it green when it's VERY OBVIOUSLY GREY in the movie???
idk, they look pretty yellow to me...It shockingly occurs to me that the E-A paint job has both the phaser banks and RCS thrusters painted gray! I always thought they kept the same yellow color that the original 1701 refit had. I checked out close-up photos online taken of the filming miniature at the Christie's auction and - sure enough - gray! Wow...real Mandela Effect moment there for me.![]()

We could go back to TOS when the Romulans were using Klingon ships, suggesting a brief military alliance between them before things went south sometime after the signing of the Khitomer Accords. Maybe the term "warbird" originated with the Klingons...The Vulcans called Klingon ships "Warbirds" in "Broken Bow".
