Real Discovery Problem 2/4/18

Ok serious issue here is that Discovery comes on in the middle of the Superbowl.

So that means hanging out at superbowl party until the end and then having to watch Discovery late night (seriously I need my sleep).

CBS should release it earlier than normal this week - give us a nice Sunday afternoon episode!!! Actually if they wanted their same day numbers to look good it wouldn't be a bad idea.

I just had this very serious discussion with my wife. But, as a Patriots fan since birth, I'll be watching the SB and immediately log on to CBSAA to catch a "late show" of the newest episode.

About the only thing in the Superbowl that marginally has my interest is the chance of the Star Wars: Solo trailer finally coming out....and I can get that off YouTube or Starwars.com afterwards anyway.

Is there an advantage to CBS always releasing the same time each week (admittedly they do put it up 15-20 minutes early).

I understand the wanting to make it a weekly series instead of all up at once where someone can subscribe/binge/cancel.

I guess in regular weeks they don't want it up early to cut into football ratings/60 minutes ratings etc.

But this week they have no football and they are pretty much up against Fox Superbowl coverage. Seems it would actually be a time they could release it early.

Thanks to the DVR the SB is actually the only game I watch "live" all season. If I had to sit through all those commercials and reviews for every game I'd go stark raving MAD!

Actually, no. The Superbowl is only going to feature a trailer for Solo's trailer. The proper trailer for Solo will air Monday morning during Good Morning America.
