Maybe send the cloaking information backwards in time, not the ship? that would even erase the timeline DSC is now in,and soft reboot whatever they want.

I think the Implication is it's more supposed to be like this.
1. Starfleet can always win back the 20% of their territory they lost. Not an impossible thing to do.
2. There are still territorial disputes between the Klingons the Federation as of "Errand of Mercy". I mention it in another thread. It's towards the end of the episode when Kirk and Kor start getting into a shouting match. Kor says the Federation has strangled their trade, Kirk says they won't give up disputed areas, Kor roars back with "they're not disputed, they're clearly ours!" and says "You've been asking for war!"
So, whatever space is still disputed can very well be space discovered to be captured in "What's Past Is Prologue".
One of the advantages of being someone who's an equal fan of TOS and DSC is that I know exactly where to look to make these things work...

Stamets didn't inject himself with spores. He injected himself with the modified Tardigrade DNA. The Tardigrade is now gone, irrecoverable. Presumably they didn't get a large enough sample of its DNA to be able to just synthezise it on demand. Besides that, it's still technically against Federation law to genetically enhance yourself.
Couldn't they just get it from Stamets' DNA now that he's been altered?
As far as the illegality goes, they're in dire straights in time of war, I think they'd be willing to bend the rules a little to preserve such a major tactical advantage.
If the preview for next week is any indication,
they're going to turn to Emperor Georgiou for help and unleash total war on the Klingons with orbital bombardment, so clearly they're willing to be flexible in their morals.

A good question as to whether the UFP would waive that rule to win the war.
Could the Defiant files be redacted to later reveal that they were actually trying to duplicate Spore Tech and something went wrong, causing a spatial interphase? Why else bring it up unless i t will come up again and tie into this storyline.
^ In ENT's "In a Mirror, Darkly" it's established that the Mirror Tholians created the interphase in order to trap the Defiant and bring it into their universe.
Saru ends the latest episode with "the Federation has lost the war" and the map goes entirely red. Preview for next episode: the Federation has lost 20% of their territory.

They finally come clean about this not being the prime universe and they simply win the war in the present. To make it crystal clear. Sarek ends up being killed and the audience is suspose to shocked at this revelation and excited about the potential of a wide open future where anything can happen even if old canon says it can't.

Supposedly the last two episodes of the season were ordered late in production, expanding the season to 15 episodes. Their original plan might have been to wrap up the Klingon War in the second season, so they made the problem seem more insurmountable. Then when they got an order for two more episodes, they had to scale back the occupation to make it seem like something that could be solved in around 80 minutes of airtime.
I think they grew to 15 by stretching the middle of the season somewhere, probably during MU arc (one of the episodes was very short 37min long, felt like they stretched one long episode into two shorter ones)
I don't think they came up with the Klingons winning war arc at the last moment. But who knows.
He first tries to communicate with Star Fleet, which doesn't respond.
He then asks to see how thing are going and we saw the map and heard "we lost the war".
Probably the Klingon destroyed any SF installation in the conquered space and disturb SF communication, and the all-red map is data from Discovery sensors and seeing only klingon signatures he thinks the war is lost
The Discovery didn't send the cloak algorythm before jumping to the Mu. Now it's there, it definitely changes the game. And I do think that there is a purpose in the lines between Mirror Voq and Michael that they unites all the aliens against a common enemy : The Terran Empire.
It should inspire Burnham to do the same in the Prime Universe, unite all the aliens of the federation against the uncloaked klingons and make the link between all these races stronger because they will fight together for their freedom and strenghten the meaning of the federation.

The Federation has already been united, and been fighting together, for nearly a century by the time the events of Discovery take place.
So they will do it again.
This is Star Trek... maybe Admiral Trimble could organize a write-in campaign?

Why wouldn't they still be doing it while Discovery is gone? I wonder if we might instead see them join forces with either the smooth headed Klingons or TNG style Klingons.
