More than anything, I think it's the cathartic reassurances that the film is still on track. Of course, that won't stop some people from declaring the film dead on arrival anyways...Is there something magical about the trailer I should know about? I mean, we're still talking about the film and all its mistakes, so what will the trailer add? More fuel for the fire?
All the trailers in the world will probably not assuage some fears.More than anything, I think it's the cathartic reassurances that the film is still on track. Of course, that won't stop some people from declaring the film dead on arrival anyways...
Personally I'm just hoping the movie will be fun and at least coherent. If it's neither of those: no big loss.
Even without the production troubles my expectations for a Han Solo origin story movie were never going to be huge. 'Rogue One' at least had an interesting premise and a direct tie back to the OT. Solo I expect to be mostly just it's own quirky thing, nothing of any huge substance or consequence.
A Kenobi movie (which still seems like a no-brainer at this point) still interests me if they take a similar approach as the John Jackson Miller novel: a Tatooine-bound character focused, John Ford/Akira Kurosawa inspired western/samurai movie, and I think the success of 'Logan' showed that it's at least feasible. A "young Kenobi" movie, not so much. If they're going to do the whole bit with Obi-Wan, Qui-Gon & Satine on Mandalore then I'd rather it either be handled by the animation team and cast, or take the form of a novel so it can breath a bit.
Not impossible, but that just seems like filling in blanks for the sake of it. I'd much rather see a unique, low-key character piece than an exercise in fan service continuity porn with no real identity or purpose of it's own. If the former can be done with flashbacks and the like that enhance the overall movie rather than hinder, so much the better, but they should not be the point in and of itself.Or maybe a Kenobi movie with mcgreggor and flashbacks scènes about those events would be cool. We could see scènes from when he was a young padawan up to maybe just before EP4
Star Wars and giant robots go hand and hand:After The Last Jedi's poor box office in China, Solo: A Star Wars Story will be renamed Ranger Solo!
Apparently they’ll hoping moviegoers will be confused and think that it’s a new Power Rangers movie!
