Losing the peace...

So, almost Destiny part two, then going to read Destiny part three and was planning on going for A Singular Destiny and Typhon Pact novels then, since I already have those ready and waiting.

Thing is, I forgot about Losing The Peace. Will it matter a lot if I read that later, or will events from that book make it more difficult to understand ASD and Typhon Pact?

Not really. It's a great read and helps to underscore the difficulties and realities in the post-Destiny universe, but it won't make it difficult to understand A Singular Destiny or the Typhon Pact books.

Keep in mind that A Singular Destiny was published before Losing the Peace. Just because these books have a shared continuity as a background, that doesn't mean they're dependent on one another or that they're just fragments of some vast serialized whole. Everything after Destiny is pretty much self-contained; they're all developing the aftermath of Destiny's events, but they're exploring different aspects of it. LtP is a TNG novel focusing on the Federation's rebuilding after Destiny; ASD is a broader-focused novel featuring different characters and exploring larger-scale galactic politics.

Even the Typhon Pact books are four separate episodic tales that grow out of the broader astropolitical backdrop of the Typhon Pact, and don't have to be read in any specific order. (They were published in the order 3, 2, 1, 4 relative to their chronological order.)

Just finished reading it. Does a really good job of how damaged the Federation was after the Borg attack. I also like that they actually offered Picard a promotion and that he turned it down, remembering the advice Kirk gave him. That was a nice touch.
The book didn’t address what Miranda did however. It was brought up that she hinted to her husband about the Borg attack when she wasn’t supposed to. I thought Picard would have a word about that with her.

I borrowed this book from the library and read it . It's a good story I think you'll like it.

Yes my library has a large collection of Star trek books and nonfiction trek books I hope to go to the library to get some more books soon.
