Water was a thing with the tardigrade, though. It desiccated, shedding water, when unhappy - then somehow regained the water when happy again. Tying the droplets to that should be easy enough. That is, it's the sort of vague strangeness that I like in my Trek.

Timo Saloniemi

The Water forming in the air happened before they got the Tardigrade though.

Wow, I'd completely forgotten about that part! Another stupid, childish scene thanks to yet more braindead writing. He imploded from the inside, more shock value!

Fill me in. Is "Loud as a Whisper" pretentious?
Thanks, that saved me having to do this.
Really most of the gore in Discovery is no worse than a lot of stuff from TNG.

In this case, though, it's another datapoint for the fact that the Emperor really doesn't give a damn about anyone or anything and would probably kill her entire staff if they saw her trip over a crack in the floor.
In terms of narrative it also showed how far she would go to make certain her universe did not know about the UFP.

Not a bad episode. Kinda disappointed they didn't wrap things up in the mirror universe here. Discovery has one messed up crew.

really reaching there

Not quite the same as having a saw slice through six guards heads, or having (multiple) characters torn apart from the inside while screaming, or having the officers with the Admiral having their throats slit.

I suppose that's what happens when you try and copy GOT so blatantly.

Yeah. I hear that show can be pretty gratuitous. Almost exploitative.

Was that scene seriously supposed to be titillating at the time? I mean, I was pre-pubescent when the show was in its first run, but even as an adult it does nothing for me.

I was probably 14 at the time. 14 year old me is not allowed to jump forward in time and describe his thoughts about it.

Yeah. Looks like that was 1989, so I was 10.

No one on Trek "did it" for me till Ezri Dax. I think the age gap between the actors and myself was just way too wide at the time.

I'm a not fan of gore like that, but I'm not really bothered by it that much. I won't go out of my way to watch something just because it's gory, but I won't necessarily avoid something I want to see just because it's gory.
The only gore so far that's really gotten to me has been the surgical stuff with Voq, but I'm not really that upset by it.
So far the only thing that's really felt unnecessary to me so far is the exploding guy when Lorca was being free, but it didn't really bother me.
