Spoilers Visual continuity - Does Discovery strictly need to show past designs... at all?

as I wrote, YMMV. who am I to judge. but personally, I'd certainly swipe left. or right. or whatever direction one swipes. I don't know, I don't use tinder. I'm too old for that and in a relationship anyway. but I'd swipe somewhere, I guess, away from them

There is an old Klingon saying...my romanised Klingon is rusty (note: I do not remotely know Klingon. Feel free to translate if you do.) but I believe it is something like uchbeq kla nujdach thlangan rach du spek....’I would not kick her out of bed for eating crackers’. I believe it is popular amongst the Celtic Terrans.

You would think she would be mentioned in the vast opportunities beyond Discovery.
Why would you think that? I just realized that in the almost 10 years I have been working for my current employer, I still don't know for sure whether or not my boss has any siblings, foster or otherwise. I learned about my co-worker's daughter ONLY because he had to bring her to work with him for a couple of days after his wife was hospitalized.

And this for a group of people who aren't even notorious for being private and secretive. Spock, on the other hand, didn't even bother to tell his shipmates that he was married until his pon far kicked in, and didn't tell his commanding officer that his parents were the Vulcan delegation until after they'd already boarded. He didn't tell Kirk that he had a brother until the crazy bastard started taking hostages on Nimbus III. Hell, he didn't even tell HIMSELF that he had traveled back in time until a couple of days after he sent Kirk to challenge him to a fight on the bridge.

Spock is known for many things, but oversharing is not one of them.

I can see Spock not mentioning Burnham or Sybok until necessary. Vulcans are highly conservative and a similar hair style over millennia is not that surprising.

I swipe...

INTO THE FOURTH DIMENSION!

And it's also got to hurt Spock deep down knowing his father cares more about Michael than he does Spock.
Considering Sarek denied Micheal a position with the Vulcan Expeditionary Force - so that they would accept Spock into the Vulcan Science Academy (Which Spock choose to refuse, but still Sarek prioritized him over Burnham); I'd say you assessment was invalid. :)

Bells.
B’Etor.
K’Elehyr.
The Romulan daughter whose name I forget on the prison planet.
The female second in command in STV.
The spy in STIII Lady something whose name I forget.
All post TMP.

In the interests of balance,
I suspect Klang or whatever his name was in STV and same dude as translator in VI probably ticked some boxes, Worf probably had a certain charm by Ds9, maybe Martok (and his Mrs whose name I forget.) and Chang (VI) Alexander was briefly like Tom Cruise with a bumpy head too.

So there have been some aesthetically pleasing Klingons.

Oh..and Bells daughter Miral.
You forgot Atzebur, Gorkon's daughter in TUC. Gilka (sp?) from "House of Quark" too, I think.

Good choices. I think we have now established why interspecies relations with Klingons are a thing without even touching on the double organs thing..

Oh...Qs little present for word on the bridge of the D. How could I forget the most ridiculously sexualised Klingon imagery in all of Trek. Doh.

Yes, I can't imagine why you would repress that ;)

I think arguing that removing the hair (and they've said in interviews that all Klingons are hairless now) isn't a big change is pretty disingenuous. Yeah sure if you put hair on them they look pretty similar, but they didn't!

That doesn't make them "not Klingon" if putting hair on them makes them "pretty similar."

I believe I have it in a sticker album.
Here, I found this from the TFF comic adaptation. Klaag's first officer's outfit changed
