The MOST Disliked Episode of STAR TREK - Season One...

Hope not, always liked that episode.

 

Together with THE CAGE insert, the two MENAGERIE episodes are a fascinating multilayered look at Enterprise (and Spock) history.

 

Removing Space Seed. Kirk's galactic mistakes aside, this is densely plotted, has great action, is very important canonically, and spawned an awesome movie.

 

When you remove a single episode (and not two) you’re supposed to copy and paste the list with the rest of the episodes...

...because without the list someone will vote for an episode that already has been voted, like "Space Seed".

Errand needs to be saved. The first look at Klingons, Kirk n Spock running a two man resistance, wickedly charming Kor and Kirk's admittance that for all of Starfleet's "we come in peace" he is almost as upset as Kor that the Organians have sent the bickering kids to bed early without supper!

What more can you ask for?

I am removing "DAGGER OF THE MIND". The first time we see a mind meld... the way it was acted, shot, the music, and the general atmosphere of that scene has always been a favorite of mine. Still can give a little chill sometimes, if the mood is right.

I actually really like "The Enemy Within" which I have removed from the list. For me, looking at the list I would leave "Mudd's Women" as the least liked left but will be interested in seeing where we end up. So here we are:

When I saw this thread, my immediate thought was that The Alternative Factor would be the last one standing. Surprise, surprise! I'll take off Tomorrow Is Yesterday. There's a good bit about the time travel that doesn't make sense, but it's still an interesting premise, has one of my favorite jokes of the series ("I'm going to lock you up for 200 years." "That ought to be just about right."), and correctly predicts that the first manned moon landing mission would launch on a Wednesday!

I will eliminate "Menagerie, Part One." Great episode, outside of the contrivance of the Spock death penalty.
