I really wanna see Discovery go through a season long arc where she gets damaged like Enterprise or Voyager in Year of Hell I love episodes like that when the crew is in dire straits

I really wanna see Discovery do some exploration and y'know, discovery.

Discovery is also more than just finding something new that is then be used to fight the Klingons. Where have we seen, so far, discovery for its own sake? If it should serve the needs of the story, then the story itself should be about discovery. Love the show, but I'm not seeing this aspect so far.

Seriously, since in the first episode we see Georgiou and Burnham visiting a new planet and helping a heretofore unknown species survive for no other (apparent) reason than humanitarianism.
