Anyone see this special last night? It was way better than I expected it to be. I'm kind of sad it's only a one off, it was basically a parody of CNN. Not like the other news comedy shows which are basically political commentary with jokes, it was just making fun of cable news.

My favorite part was near the beginning where they were talking about a (fictional) terror attack, and they showed live feeds of a liberal group and a conservative group (Which they labeled 'Snowflakes' and 'Deplorables') waiting to hear details about the attacker, and the conservative group was rooting for it to be a fundamentalist Muslim and the liberal group was rooting for it to be a white male Trump supporter.

So it was like, "We're getting details, the attacker's name is (Arab sounding name)"

"No, wait, it's actually (American sounding name)"
(Liberal group cheers)
"Who planned the attack because he hated Trump"
(Conservative group cheers)
"And Obama"
(Liberal group cheers)

I've been meaning to watch it since it but I only just got to it.

Most of it was amusing, but as much as I love Ed Helms and his musical charisma, I'm glad it's a one-off because it reminded me exactly why I don't watch televised news (especially CNN).

I did love the whole Trump stuck in a well storyline and I knew as soon as we saw that well that there was going to be some kind of reference to The Ring.

I also enjoyed the ticker, particularly when it told an entire actual Norse Mythology story.

I was so pissed when he was fired, at the time it was the only good thing about SNL.

Another part I liked about the well thing was the CGI guy. Making fun of the hilariously unnecessary overexplanatory graphics.

I liked the whole gun debate part and how they came back to it at the end. Also, the waiting for the press conference stalling was great!
