It'd probably look like a seriously pissed-off fish.
Nah, we saw inside the 29th century USS Relativity in Voyager and it didn't have any of the cool tech Discovery has.The USS Discovery is a 25th century ship.
From DS9 "The Visitor" in the year 2422 they use the same kind of technology that they use in Discovery.
NOG: Take us out of warp.
DAX: I think I remember how to do that.
BASHIR: I haven't worked a two-dimensional control panel in a long time. How did we manage?
DAX: We always seemed to muddle through somehow.

Dark, grainy and cheap and it would only be visible on screen in shots no longer than five seconds in length, damn lucky if they're even that long.
Was looking forward to seeing updated but identifiable Klingon ships.Good point...it drives me fuckin bonkers that they refuse to do any kind of lingering beauty shot on any of the ships. I feel I barely know what Discovery looks like at this point. I don't have a clue about the Klingon ships.
Nice to see the Excelsior as well.Better textures and windows, maybe some more greebles.
I can't see much being changed about the Galaxy-class model, since it looked highly detailed. Same goes for the Excelsior class.
The Ambassador-class though would certainly get an update. It had a decent overall shape but it was REALLY lacking in detail.
