I wouldn't go that far. I'd apply that to TFA, but this one was streets ahead.

Just saw The Last Jedi, and it should definitely be the last Star Wars movie made by Rian Johnson. The Special Effects are awesome and the Combat Scenes are fantastic, but the Dialog, and the Plot, and even the Jokes suck. I've been a die-hard fan of Star Wars since 1977. I was halfway through this movie, shaking my head, thinking that this movie blows.
One of the best parts of this movie is just seeing Carrie Fisher one last time.

Ah, I tried hard to like this movie. I literally set myself up to have no expectations before hand. I didn’t want to be let down.
Needless to say I didn’t enjoy this film. I had quite a few major quibbles and then some smaller ones that added up. I would post them all but it would be a real bandwidth buster.
That’s not to say there weren’t positives because even in my disappointment I liked quite a few things.
Part of my family enjoyed it and I’m glad they did. You can’t please everyone and I learned not to be harsh to others views as I was raked over the coals for liking the prequels quite often. So if you enjoyed this movie, good. It’s all a matter of perspective.

For my money, it has some serious pacing issues.
Also, the entire B plot can only happen because one of the characters, who has absolutely no motivation or cause to do so, withholds critical information from the rest of the cast, which I would classify as poor writing. I have no problem with the Finn/Rose plot, save for some pacing concerns, but if Holdo just gives her crew the hope they are literally begging her to give them, the whole thing becomes unnecessary. As written, she's a terrible leader.
That it's leaps and bounds better than TFA I'll grant you. But TFA is a terrible film, so that isn't saying much.

One thing I appreciated was the Darth Sidious name drop. Correct me if I’m wrong but it’s the first non-prequel trilogy movie to use his sith name. Makes it believable that Luke did do his research about how crap hit the fan in Anakins descent to the dark side
The cutesy humor was the only element of the movie I could have done with a little less of. For instance, I thought the "am I on hold" stuff was drawn out a little too long.

Yeah some of the humor felt almost like.... Well the way humor is played in Star Trek movies a bit too broad and obvious, the "Am I on hold?" bit was up there with bouncing ball on the lyrics in the shuttle in "Insurrection."
But here it's worse because it's completely out of place in this universe. i mean... why is he acting like he's on a telephone in the 21st century?!
And, to echo something someone said above, I wasn't quite sure why Laura Dern's character felt the need to withold her plan from everyone either, I mean.... Why not let people know there's a plan and mission here? There was no reason to keep things secret.
And why didn't Kylo realize that Luke was attacking him with a lightsaber that was just destroyed before his very eyes mere moments before?

Right? This movie starts like what? a half hour after the last one? and in Rey's case immediately. Yet Maz has already set up a new business somewhere and is having ''comic book'' labor disputes already? Yeah, I'm gonna call bullshit on that one.

I believe this to be the first Star Wars movie where nobody had a bad feeling about anything.
I'd argue that TLJ actually starts before the ending of TFA.
It's certainly nice to have an Episode every 2 years instead of every 3.
Loved Rogue One but I'm not too keen on the Solo movie.

Although, in Rogue One K2 got cut off before he could finish the sentence.
I have to admit something guys.. I loved, Loved the Pod Race scene. Love it!
