If Dayton's book is anywhere near as good as David's, then this will be the strongest book launch in Star Trek's history.
Or the Kirsten Beyer relaunch. And IMO the early Enterprise novels were also better than Desperate Hours.Really? I mean, Desperate Hours was good, I loved it, but a stronger launch than the Avatar duology?
It’s alright but I prefer starships on the cover rather than characters. Would be cool to see a era appropriate Shenzhou.Cover is revealed:

Isn’t it? Apologies. Well whatever ship that’s in it then. Would be interesting to see some of the missing link ships between the NX and Conny. The Shenzhou isn't featured in the book.
The guy you're quoting is the guy who wrote the damn novel. If he says the Shonzhou isn't in the novel, then the Shenzhou most certainly is not in the novel.Isn’t it?
This isn't a ship-based story at all.Well whatever ship that’s in it then. Would be interesting to see some of the missing link ships between the NX and Conny.
I assume they get there by ship, unless they have the JJVerse transwarp beaming by then. The guy you're quoting is the guy who wrote the damn novel. If he says the Shonzhou isn't in the novel, then the Shenzhou most certainly is not in the novel.

Sure, but having a really cool ship on the cover that appears once in chapter 1 and then again the the epilogue and has near to no bearing on the story other than bringing the main characters to the location seems kinds scummy. Of course I don't know how important any ship in the story is. Anyway, I prefer faces on cover, although both can be done better or worse.I assume they get there by ship, unless they have the JJVerse transwarp beaming by then.
assume they get there by ship,
