Anyone keeping CBS All Access during Discovery's hiatus?

CBS is very pleased with the amount of people who signed up for All Access but I have to wonder, what are they going to do when everyone cancels their subscription during Discovery's down time? I imagine there won't be a whole lot of cancellations during the November-January time frame but if Season 2 doesn't air until 2019, that's a long wait. I'll be cancelling my $10/month subscription because I don't see anything else that CBS offers that's worth watching. Even the old Star Trek episodes are poor quality, about what they looked like when aired in the 70's.

Has anyone found any other series worth watching on All Access?

CBS All Access streaming of old eppies is shite to be sure.

I'll check out No Activity, I guess, but if there are no new offerings after that that intrigue me, I'll continue with Mind Hunter and other shows I watch anyway.

The only thing is I'll likely wait until after the 6 eps have run their course to cancel.

After tonight's episode I'll be dropping CBSAA for a while. I'll probably pick it up again when the season is over and just binge the 2nd part of the season.

I'm interested to see what CBSAA does with their Twilight Zone revival, I'm sure I'll pick it up for that if I don't have it at the time. I'm going to keep CBSAA on a very short leash.

The other Twilight Zone revivals bombed. I'd like to see them do it in black and white, with a Rod Serling impersonator. :techman:

I'll likely wait to cancel until the second half of season one is done.

CBS will lose a significant portion of subscribers, that's for sure. But you heard it here first: Before season 1 is done, they will offer a promotion. Sign up for a year (or two) of service in advance and save $3/month. While it may not stop the bleeding completely, it will definitely decrease number of cancellations, enough for CBS to look good on whatever financial report matters to the big wigs.

I likely will be dropping it after a while. Not right away because I'm going to want to rewatch all of season 1 once it's over so I might keep it for an extra month or two if I can't find the time to watch it all quickly. After that I might cancel it until season 2 starts or something else is added. I'll be keeping it during the Nov/Dec break though. Again I'm going to want to rewatch the episodes. If I get the desire to rewatch again during that time I'll just reup unless the bluray for season 1 comes out during that time.

I do think they're going to need to have at least another Trek series to fill the voice ala The Walking Dead and Fear the Walking Dead. I have Netflix as well and all of the other Trek shows are there so that isn't a reason to keep CBS AA in the months Discovery isn't airing. Now if the new Twilight Zone is good that will be a reason to keep it if it releases when Discovery isn't on. There needs to be more programming like that. I think it is coming but just a matter of when.

I think you'll see drops in the sub numbers for 2018. If they have the content to fill the gaps in 2019/2020 then I think that will stop.

I need to watch The Good Fight after I finish Good Wife. Probably will get rid of it after that. Initially I got it to see back seasons of Survivor but although it is nostalgic it's just expectedly not fun when you know the outcome.

After the last 6 episodes are watched, CBSAA will go dark.

Considering it'll save me about $15, it's probably more trouble than it's worth to cancel. Although, I'm sure that's what CBSAA is counting on people thinking. Maybe I'll rethink and buy myself a bottle of wine (or two).

If there is a year gap between seasons 1 and 2, I should stop it until then.

I’m going to cancel during both timeframes.

Canceling during the upcoming hiatus will save me $10 & why pay them for a month I’m not going to use it ?

After the season ends I’ll cancel again and subscribe when Season 2 starts.

CBS AA is how I get CBS these days so for the sake of Football, I'll keep it. Also, I'm sharing the costs with someone who loves CBS Shows so He's paying me back half.

I'll probably keep it during the hiatus between the first and second half of season one, but cancel it between seasons. I can only rewatch JAG so many times.

I'll keep it. It has other shows besides Trek that I want to watch.
