I have no problems with the Klingon ships in Discovery. Having said that, I do like your design a bit better. ;)

Wow, I really like that.
Thanks!

LOL Thanks bro!

Oh yeah - now THAT is how you design a Klingon battlecruiser.
Thanks mate!

I too love the ships in Discovery from what I have seen posted online(I have not watched the show, as I will not pay to watch Trek)...but I do not believe that they best represent the established canon that Discovery is purported to be existing in.
Anyway here is the Ancient Klink ship...I opted a more ENT look to this ship as it is supposed to be old...and much older than the ships in ENT. hence her look as a crude ship.
Enjoy:

I love how both designs use the TOS lavender/teal palette for the hull color scheme. Everything about these ships thoroughly kicks ass.

Yep. Proves that amateurs are better at production design than those who were given the gig.

I wouldn't say that. It looks like there was some amount of controversy behind the scenes with regard to how closely to stick to the TOS aesthetic. Look at the markings on the Starfleet ships. The first things we saw used a Franz Joseph/Kelvinverse style, then the last batch of trailers, promotional shots, and production art we had all showed the ships with TOS-style insignia, but the actual show switched to an ersatz post-TMP style, suggesting it was a very last-minute change after another change before that.

- Perhaps the original ship looked something like this before it became encrusted with all those sarcophaguses (sarcophagi?), coffins, and other flotsam and jetsam? Great design!

Ah, yes! Old "One Wing"...

Man, Atolm, you are outdoing yourself in this thread! They're so good, if you don't do orthos of them, I might take a shot at them myself. :)
