You all realise no one is gonna get the reference and everyone will just assume you're a big fan of Saturday Night Fever, Sister Sledge, Chic and other 70s music, right?
Im fine with that =)

That's kind of the point... something obscure that only other Trek fans will recognize. It's a secret club.

Nope, because Disco Stu doesn't advertise!Star Trek isn't allowed to be fun. It must be solemn and somber.
Now we need a member of the crew named "Stu" to wear the shirt, with his name written underneath "Disco."

I bought the official shirt and was a little disappointed, it is cotton and doesn't wash too well. Then I found a shirt in the UK that isn't the official one, it is WAY better. Even with the shipping to Florida it was around the same price as the official one so for you guys in the UK it will be cheap. Here it is http://www.milspectees.com/t-shirts/235-star-trek-discovery-disco-t-shirt.html I think they also do a female fit one.

Shame you aren't in the US right now. KC, The Trammps and a couple other Disco acts are doing some shows here and there, all on the same bill!Wow thanks for this!! Deffo going to buy!!!!
The shirt has two meanings for me as I am actually a fan of all of these as well as KC and the sunshine band and Earth Wind and Fire along with many more.![]()

Yeah, you need to visit the US sometime, hit Nashville, TN and some places with the Disco acts playing somewhere!Wow I’d love to be there sounds like fun! It’s a dream of mine to visit the US being a Country fan as well.
I am a second generation disco fan being only 26, I was just a twinkle in my dads eye in the 70’s, which is where I get the love of disco from![]()

Those are all five letter names. It seems that the logic behind the "DISCO" is a 6 letter name code across the fleet. So on the USS Shenzhou it would be "SHENZ", On Pikes's USS Enterprise it would be "ENTER", etc etc. I Guess the USS Glenn would be just "GLENN"![]()
The truth is, one of the writers or producers made up a DISCO shirt and wore it to every preproduction meeting. They liked it enough to work a version into the show. There's a photo of the original (Just a black shirt with DISCO across it) on one of the producer's Instagram accounts. It seems that the logic behind the "DISCO" is a 6 letter name code across the fleet. I'm a Vulcan, I look for logic in everything. Otherwise I have a brain fartThe truth is, one of the writers or producers made up a DISCO shirt and wore it to every preproduction meeting.
