New Animated Show: Star Wars: Forces of Destiny

Yeah, both of those have been fun, although it's too bad they couldn't get the original film actors back (although that does sound like Frank Oz despite retirement).

They are using the Clone Wars voice actors for the prequel era characters and, to be honest, at this point I think of them as those characters more than the movie actors.

Well the N1's all have silver noses, so presumably this is what they all look like unpainted. If I had to guess, the yellow markings are for the Naboo Royal Guard while all silver is for Royal government officials (hence this, this, this and this.)
Bingo. IIRC, the partial chrome paintjob on the Naboo fighters was to denote that they were affiliated with the government (that is to say, they were escorts for government personnel, not military), but not actual officials. It makes sense a fighter fitted to transport a senator or royal would get the full chrome-job (unless they were traveling incognito, as in AOTC). It'd probably be regarded as insulting or déclassé if she were to pilot a "common" ship.

Yes! I like seeing the Jedi dojo more. Nice detail work, including the bowing. Animation was pretty dynamic during combat.

Also, they weren't trying to be stealthy. It was a practice flight and wherever they were, it was somewhere they didn't even remotely expect to run into separatists. The yellow fighter she flew in AotC was specifically meant to be a disguise.
Exactly. I imagine that, if necessary, it would be a rallying cry to fighters to protect that ship as well. Similar to painting Republic ships all red.

they've combined the first few episodes into one video with a bit with Maz at the beginning, but it isn't anything special

So now we know the Ewoks at least *attempted* to eat the Imperials...of course they only stopped this one group. For all we know there were three dozen other barbecues the night before. ;)

Side note: I officially hate my brain since it saw fit to remind me that *technically* Ben/Kylo is in this scene too...

Those were fun. Seeing Sabine and Jyn together was fun, although it's a shame that's probably the closest we'll ever get to her appearing on Rebels.
Wow, I never thought we'd get an actual official Lucasfilm story about the Ewoks wanting to eat the Stormtroopers on Endor. Hera's appearance there was fun.

Wait, Leia was already a general at Endor? Well, I guess, Han and Lando were. Just seems, I don't know, weird.

And so, the Ghost was at Endor. Interestingly, we only know Hera and Chopper were there. While I understand they probably want to keep the fates of Kanan, Ezra, Sabine and Zeb a secret until the Rebels finale, I'd have thought they'd at least show Rex was Nik Sant.

It does suggest the Ghost was running around during the Battle of Endor, also leading fighter squadrons, or at least attempting to cover, probably Home One, like it did the Profundity as Scarif. It was a big battle and I don't think for a second that we saw all the ships there in Return of the Jedi.

She was probably a General, or held authority equivalent to that rank (certainly the security clearance) right after Yavin. With Bail and Breha gone, it stands to reason most of what they were responsible for fell to Leia.

One might presume that the reason we never heard anyone refer to her as such prior to this is that typically when it comes to people with multiple titles, the done thing is to address them by whichever one is highest ranking and Princess outranks General.

They may be saving that for later too.

That also falls in line with the arguments about what was Leia doing at Echo Base?
Broadly speaking I suppose, though that's more of a rank vs. role issue IMO. Even in ANH Leia was always shown to be at least on par with if not superior to the military leadership in terms of authority, rank or no rank.

So that giant hippo thing from TFA gets an origin story today
