Spoilers Gotham - Season 4

Tigress seems to be a case of taking a name and building a new character around it. (If indeed they were aware of the DC Tigresses )
I think that's probable...with a name like Tabitha, which is cat-like...and just looked up that the name is as old as Superman == 1st appearing in Action COmics #1!

(Though I was confused...I was used to the MArvel character, who actually transformed into a cat-like creature..with Gotham you never know...)

A buddy and I save up Gotham, on the DVR, to watch during "off cycles" so it'll be December before I get to S4. Based on the rating debut numbers I heard this could be the end, kinda surprised it made it this far(like AoS). The only thing I was really intrigued by was the reveal of Butch at the close of S3. Reading through the thread so far it doesn't sound like an update on "Cyrus Gold" was given yet. I'm sure to be disappointed by their version of Grundy but oddly curious all the same.

Sounds pretty good to me.

At this point the shows has gone so far off in it's own direction that you really can't base expectations for characters' fates on the comics. I doubt at this point that Jim and Barbara will ever get married, or that he will leave her for Sarah Essen.
Speaking of Barbara it kind of amazes me how she has gone from being the most pointless annoying character on the show, to being one of my absolute favorite parts of the show.
So do we think she died and was resurrected or just appeared to be dead?
I'm kind of wondering if her return will tie into a certain poetry reciting character's (re)appearance.

She looked pretty dead but there was no confirmation of it so it's possible she was merely knocked out when she was electrocuted. I do think she did die and Ra's al Ghul brought her back with a Lazarus Pit. I think she's working for him now.

Man, those scenes in Cuba or Miami or wherever Falcone is sure seemed to go overboard on the yellow color grading.

Kind of an odd way to free Nygma but he's back in play to thicken the plot.

Yeah, after seeing them working together I was thinking along those lines as well. The flashback to ancient Arabia was kind of cool and a bit different for Gotham.

I have to agree but overall the cinematography and production design in this episode was absolutely gorgeous, lots of interesting shots and stylistic choices. Besides if Jerry Bruckheimer productions such as CSI: Miami or Bad Boys ever tought me something, it's that Miami is enshrouded in a perpetual orange tinge that other shows use to represent a gloomy sunset or nuclear winter.

Just finished and thought this was one of the better episodes. I could've done without Neanderthal and Dog Boy, but other than that it sets up some potentially interesting story lines. I only hope that the consequences of that boy dying for the knife will shape Bruce in the future. And the Falcone aspect looks intriguing as well. Nicely done!

Pretty brutal with Ra's and the knife, didn't expect them to go there. Poor kid.

Did they update Freeze? I don't remember him looking so, um, cool.

Silly but throwing the bone out the window to dispatch Anubis made me laugh.

Man, Gordon beds everyone in this show.

I thought I was behind on this, but I actually caught up. The season's been great so far.
Alexander Siddig has been great as Ra's Al Ghul.
I barely recognized Teen Wolf's Crystal Reed as Sofia Falcone, I had to look her up to figure out why she seemed so familiar.
Tonight's episode:
TV Guide said:
A Dark Knight: The Blade's Path
Nygma comes face-to-face with Butch Gilzean, but he is not who he used to be. In an attempt to regain power and identity, Nygma decides to put his former partner's skills to the test. Meanwhile, Sofia Falcone takes action to protect her own life by appealing to Penguin's vulnerable side. With the power of the dagger in his possession, Bruce surprises those around him with his bold actions.

I'm very curious to see how they're going to handle Butch Grundy.

Did they really just kill HIM?? Seriously??

Grundy was beyond perfect. Fantastic adaptation. Hilarious with Ed.

That "dumped in a bog and risen from the dead" bit was the darn near same as the scene with Harold Meachum in Iron Fist. Hey, if it works, why not.

I agree on both your points. I'm not a big DC guy and don't really know Ra's from the comics but even I was like "Wut?". I was really surprised at how well Solomon Grundy was executed. The scene where they dumped him in the swamp looked like out of a classic comic book and the hobos (with their wax cylinder recording!) really were pretty much right out of his comic origin story.

EDIT: I forgot about Ra's and Babs, did he pass his katra to her?

Pyg looks creepy!

I very much doubt that Ra's is dead. I'm sure he will be back sooner or later. Probably mid season. As soon as Cherry said to get the Doc I knew it was going to be Lee.

^Yeah, same for me with Lee.
Loved how they handled Grundy, and teaming him up with the brain damaged Ed was fun.
I was also shocked they actually appear to have killed Ra's, but we still don't know a ton about this version of him so I wouldn't be surprised if he wasn't permanently gone.
I'm curious what exactly Sofia is up to, I can't tell right now if she's just trying to take down Penguin for Gordon, or if she's getting him out of the way so she can to take over herself.

I think Ra's may have passed his essence onto Barbara and that will lead to his return some how. This is Gotham though so maybe Barbara becomes to the new Ra's Al Ghul.

I wish Barbara had remained dead. She seems like a ghost of her former self. And I thought her story had ran its course.
