Cringe-Worthy TNG scenes worth forgetting/rediculing

Pretty-much any time they let Tasha Yar speechify. The "just say no" screed she delivers to Wesley, the "get down on your knees" speech about the Feddies in the pilot. I don't know if Crosby deciding to leave TNG in the first season was a good carrer move for her, but it was a good thing for the show she was gone. IMO. YMMV.

Elementary Dear Data
For one line in Picards log entry at the very beginning. Basically he says, "we've arrived early at the rendezvous point and have absolutely nothing to do". I think any thinking person aboard a futuristic starship, the most powerful in the Federation could think of something interesting to do.

It’s Human nature. We all fell the same in places/slow days time to time, that folks from the 17th Century would be awe-struck. Picard is so used to all those things we think would keep us entertained indefinitely.

Oh! how could I forget the Traveler telling Picard Wesley was special and has potential powers? Cringe!

Riker telling the androgynous alien he's barely known for longer than it takes to crack a fat, he has strong feelings for he/she/It's Pat. Cringe!

Tasha's "sexy walk". Cringe!

Beaming a large orject out like a tree and destroying it to prove their might, as suggested by Lore disguised as Data. EPIC CRINGE!

From TNG - "The Naked Now":
TASHA: Geordi? Geordi? Lieutenant Yar in the Observation lounge. Send a team here now. Medical's been worried about you.
LAFORGE: Help me. Help me to not to give in to the wild things coming into my mind,
TASHA: Geordi, my job is security,
LAFORGE: Tasha, please.
TASHA: Alright. Alright, helping is more important. Geordi, how can I help you?

and

WESLEY: See how I reversed the fields on this, Commander? I made it into a repulser beam.
DATA: If we just had one minute more, sir,
WESLEY: If this were a hundred times more powerful than it is. Why not try it with the real thing? Why not reverse fields on this, Ma'am? If we just need an extra minute,
MACDOUGAL: It would take weeks of laying out new circuits.
WESLEY: Why not just see it in your head? Come off the main lead, split off at the force activator, then, then. If I could just think straight about this,

IIRC, it was writer/producer Maurice Hurley who inserted the "just say no" speech in at the last minute because he (having teenage kids at that time I think) was worried that the message of the episode seemed to justify drug abuse.

It does seem especially odd considering Roddenberry's state at the time.

Speaking of Code of Honor ... Wesley lurking in the turbolift door, after being banished from the bridge stating, "
I haven't stepped one foot on your bridge, Captain..."

Maybe it's just me, but...

Bearded Geordi. Some cringe there.

Oh, those giant aliens that looked like upright fish -- cringe. And man, how cross was Picard over that murder, huh? It's like somebody bumped into him with a coffee cup. Cringy.

Perhaps it was a fever dream but I seem to remember Lwaxanna and Alexander sharing a mud bath.....a new level of squick!

Now if only I could forget it..:wah:

Geordi trying to impress Miss Christy Henshaw on the holodeck may not be cringe worthy but it's pretty embarrassing.

Spiner: "We were seduced by the glamour of it all!"

I remember when I first saw that, laughed my head off. :guffaw:

Season seven episode where a guy jumps into the warp drive/nacelle, when they talk to his girlfriend she says "It's just so unlike him".........
