Cringe-Worthy TNG scenes worth forgetting/rediculing

^yeah. Though that was supposed to be extremely awkward, IMHO. Data "getting" humor for the very first time after inserting that emotion chip, but not really having a matured taste in it (yet), or an inkling of when to restrain himself.

I'd go for any of these 'oh my god look how much better/more evolved we are than those barbaric late 20th century humans!' scenes or statements from early TNG.

The ending to Angel One... Riker makes a speech and the leader of the planet suddenly changes her mind about a deeply ingrained cultural prejudice...

I still find the episode rather entertaining otherwise.

Inspired by the "Humorous TNG scenes worth remembering / revisiting" thread, what moments of TNG are the most cringe-worthy? I'll get the ball rolling. :-)

Brent Spiner and "wacky" are not a good combination; no, sir.

Mr Tricorder is light years better than the following little gem:

Then again, the whole of "Justice" was an injustice...

The lost colony of Irish stereotypes makes me cringe to the point of muscle cramps.

What if they applied Irish stereotypes on people who otherwise looked German? Then again, "Casino Royale" (1967) already tried something like that...

I strongly disagree. His character on "Night Court" was awesome, and he's pretty wacky to good effect at a lot of convention appearances, too.

Now if you had said, "DATA and 'wacky' are not a good combination", then I would tend to agree. :)

There's a UPN show from 1995 called Deadly Games, and it has an episode called "The Practical Joker." Spiner plays the titular character, and he is godawfully painful to watch.

I can't speak to Night Court; I've seen a lot of episodes, but never caught one with him in it. I'll take your word for it, as I understand it was his breakout role before Data.

Really, the entire scene leading up to this could qualify, but it all comes to a head here:

Just because it was obvious fan service, the Crusher/Troi dancing/stretching scene. I'm not complaining about it, just saying it could be cringe worthy.

How about approximately forty-seven minutes of cringing to "Code of Honor"?

Pretty much every single thing in "The Outrageous Okona". And that terrible comedy in the holodeck. Yikes.

Pretty much all scenes of Wesley on the Bridge, especially earlier episodes. And that line from one of them where Beverly asks if Picard is throwing her off the Bridge? What a stupid cringe-worthy question.

The crew de-evolving.

Crew becoming children again.

Elementary Dear Data
For one line in Picards log entry at the very beginning. Basically he says, "we've arrived early at the rendezvous point and have absolutely nothing to do". I think any thinking person aboard a futuristic starship, the most powerful in the Federation could think of something interesting to do.
