Well...He was being specifically friendly to a person who everyone seems to shun...An outsider...Like him! Maybe he is just happy to be alive and around humans who aren't likely to nominate him for a Klingon beat-down! ...Then again...Yeah, I know. , lol. But yeah, let's say you are! It's super hard for me to trust someone like this because it seems so disingenuous. If you're treating everyone you meet like your best friend the instant you meet them, how can you ever tell if this person is actually being a good friend? Like, just be nice and let that familiarity build upon itself rather than forcing it right off the bat. This fool wants something.

In which case, this fool does want something. Oh man, I hope no one thinks I hate friendly people, that isn't my point. I'll add the caveat that I am trusting of people who feel genuine; he does not. In this situation, my gut would tell me, 'This guy would sell his grandma for a slip of latinum.'
And on top of that as a viewer, he is so obviously a spy that I want him not to be and be completely wrong about him, just because that would be such a great twist to the twist that doesn't feel like a twist at all.
Again, I like the show, but I'm sure some Trek fans who don't like the show will do a "Death to Disco" or "Disco is Dead" version at some point.

Cool. Thanks for posting. Really like Ash Tyler, hope A. he doesn't immediately get killed my some monster and B. Is NOT a Klingon spy. And I love love love the Horror vibes I get from this show. Just mixing the Horror right in. Why not. I love it. Space IS scary as sh*t. I love seeing this be a theme.
