Yeah it looks good, surprised they have gone for a close up on Lorca so soon into the season, Saru seems to be having trouble dealing with the pressure.

Bit idiotic for the Captain of such a critical experiment to be captured so easily, by all rights he should never leave the protection of the ship for any reason, in fact non of them should its a security risk.

Unless he intends to deploy a furry weapon of mass destruction on the Klingons ship, makes me wonder if he allows himself to be captured on purpose but I cant really see the upside of such an act, Lorca knows too much to be risked in such a way.

Ash Tyler is just a made-up character for press releases. Latif didn't want anyone to know he was fired during pre-production.
 
I'm guessing that the plot here is--POSSIBLE SPOILERS from After Trek--that Lorca is captured after returning from some kind of Federation council meeting or summit, which is at least a more reasonable reason to put him in jeopardy (at least compared to, say, going on an away mission or similar).

What's this about Ash Tyler being a made-up character? I'm just waiting for him to turn out to be Voq.
 
Could that device Lorca is hooked up to be a mind sifter?

Isn't Lt. Tyler said to be in there with Mudd?

He still hasn't shown up, so I offered a joke. I'm all onboard the Voq = Tyler train, but I was also aboard the "These are ancient Klingons" train. So, don't have faith in my assumptions.
 
I'm expecting a pretty substantial time skip at the start of the next episode. Not six months, but at least a few weeks to a month
 
So that's definitely L'Rell? Hmmm, Mokai shenanigans indeed.

But is it wise to expect a Westworld-esque twist, especially - as with that show, where fans figured it out far earlier than the showrunners expected - one fans are quite viscerally speculating over.

I know what you mean but I suspect if L'rell is the one that captured them - I presume they were knocking about near the Shenzou? Then maybe they did not expect for any Klingons to be about that sector? Still a bit slack though!
