Not being part of the main cast just means they aren't required to try to work her into every episode, and indeed we can go a swath of a few episode of her being absent and it not mean anything. Indeed, one of the things this show is getting right is that they are making their main cast characters who will actually contribute to the show rather than just filling the main cast with the various bridge and senior officer positions thereby ending up with characters who are meaningless to the overall show. Like Mayweather.

Are you just going by IMDB here? I wouldn't trust the information on there, because there's some very clearly false information on there now, like Lorca being in all 15 episodes.
