Music careers of the actors

Obviously William Shatner's musical "talents" are well-known and Leonard Nimoy's "The Ballad of Bilbo Baggins" is a thing of pure joy. (Depending on your definition of 'joy' of course). With Anthony Rapp now a Star Trek regular actor after being famous for 'Rent', I did wonder what other actors in Trek have ventured into the world of song and dance?

I know that James Darren was obviously a talented singer long before he was Vic Fontaine, and I also know that Scott Bakula appeared in the odd stage musical before he got his big TV break. Brent Spiner, of course, released 'Ol' Yellow Eyes Is Back' and I'm pretty sure somewhere in my CD collection I own a copy of a Tim Russ album.

Chase Masterson has been known to belt out a tune or two at conventions, as well as most of her DS9 colleagues.

Any others?
 
There of course was that James Horner scene carrying around a blue-glowing thing in "Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan", who had a hell of a career scoring... ;-)

Well, there's the Enterprise Blues Band (Vaughn Armstrong, Casey Biggs, and Steve Rankin.) http://www.ebluesband.com/start.htm. They have a couple of CDs for sale.

And the Rat Pack, which is the EBB plus additional performers, have videos up on a YouTube, but I don't know if they've released anything to date.

Avery Brooks released a Jazz album a few years ago and produced the score for Shatner's The Captains. He starred in some musicals and chamber operas, IIANM. Of course, he both played piano (particularly Thelonious Monk's Round Midnight) and sang (The Best is Yet to Come) in DS9 episodes.
 
And there was that red shirt extra from TOS (Basil Poledouris) who went on to do the awesome scores for Robocop, Total Recall, and Conans Barabarian and Destroyer, among others.
 
I looked it up not long ago and it turns out that Jonathan Frakes actually knows how to play the trombone and Garrett Wang, knows how to play the clarinet.

Robert Picardo also did some music CD's. One of them was a remake of the soundtrack from the musical "Scrooge", in which he sang the part of the title character, which was done by Albert Finney in the original movie.

Who was also in other episodes, though little known. One as a Klingon.
 
Tom Morello, Iggy Pop, Mick Fleetwood, and, of course, John Tesh, all had minor music careers before hitting it big with Star Trek.

I actually saw Bakula playing Jesus in a college production of Godspell in the late '70s.

Spiner was in the original Broadway cast of the Sondheim musical Sunday in the Park with George.
