Things you HATED about this show. As much as there are positives about STD there is much CRINGE!

There are 24 houses and no way should this particular house act like that in my view. Sure House of Duras and those like them would attack Kirk, sneak, steal and even work with Romulans.

Also a well developed sense of honor does not develop overnight. I believe this group would have attacked but not the way they did.

When the Klingons were at war with federation in Deep Space Nine they were not above ambushing Starfleet vessels with superior numbers or attacking hospitals and medical personnel (see 'Nor the battle too strong). Neither act is honorable and attacking a hospital would be considered a war crime. Klingons will do whatever it takes to win and as the saying goes, there is nothing more honourable than victory.

I'm working towards a Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling and volunteer at a community mental health agency. I have 4 younger adopted siblings all with trauma history, and increasing difficulty in forming attachments with my parents and appropriate social interactions.

No, I'm not thinking of sexual assault. I'm thinking of trauma. Children are resilient, but only with therapy do they overcome that history.
This is the internet, you aren't anything but a nameless vice admiral here.

Maybe if you could appreciate well-written dramas as much as you could dumb snarky comments, you would like this show more.
You need to tone down the rhetoric please, Albinator. Across several threads you're stepping close to the line in your responses to people who didn't like Discovery. You can engage in debate, of course, but don't get into sniping matches.

Travis Mayweather: "We're just returning a wounded man to his homeworld. Why would we need weapons?"
Malcolm Reed: "Did you read the intelligence report on these Klingons?"
Travis: (*shakes head in the negatory*)
Malcolm: "Apparently they sharpen their teeth before going into battle."

Nothing I hated. I understand a lot of hard work went into this show by a lot of people. The Klingon stuff didn't work for me, and the Starfleet stuff was decidedly "meh". We weren't given any reason to care about Burnham and her fall. Even in the novel, she is decidedly bland.

She feels like Anakin 2.0.

Burnham can be saved. She just needs to be moved over to the Enterprise under Pike and they need a reason for Spock to not be there. Saru needs a reboot, but his makeup is ok and I like the actor. Everyone else (on the Shenzou and all Klingons and all EP's and writers) report to the airlock.

Saru was the only thing I liked about the first two episodes. He seemed interesting. He is also interesting in the novel.

Kelpians can be an interesting species if the writers bother to develop them beyond "looks cool" and "can sense the coming of death." Saru is easily my favorite of the new characters and if they can write some good material for Doug Jones then he can become a new Data and pretty quickly.

Then again Dr. Phlox and the Denobulans were introduced with great fanfare and we saw little more about them over the next four seasons other than random Denobulans and references to their homeworld and marriage and mating customs.
