Things you HATED about this show. As much as there are positives about STD there is much CRINGE!

I thought the show was quite enjoyable. Was it "the best thing evar!!!1!!!"? No. But, it was pretty darn entertaining.

That said, the Klingon stuff was hard to follow. It didn't hold my interest. Any time we were in a flashback or with the Starfleet crew...I was totally there. When they cut back to the Klingons, I struggled.

And I don't like the "bolts" that the phasers shoot. Give me the old beam weapons any day!

Not really, they just don't conform to your personal tastes. That's NOT the same thing, sorry.
 
Also, huge plot holes. Does not bode well for the quality of the writers.

1). Why did they send Sonneqa out in a jetpack suit to fly past the unknown object? In a radiation area, no less. (Which the Shezou's sensors detected easily) PROBES EXISTED IN THE ToS ERA. SEND THEM! DO NOT SEND YOUR 1ST OFFICER FOR NO REASON. Just stupid

2). How can a human do a Vulcan nerve pinch? She doesn't have the biology to do that. No amount of teaching from Sarek or Spock can give her that ability. Dumb
 
So is this supposed to be a serious thread topic? Or are we just indulging said newbie's annoying penchant for posting stupid pictures with every post? 'Cause if it's the former, I'm not going to waste my time.

Am I missing something? The writer says that they started penning the script around the time of the election and they let current events corrupt/contort their characterization of the Klingons. They had it in their heads that they should be made analagous to Trump supporters. Not only is that incredibly elitist and cosmopolitan to think that all Trump supporters are redneck idiots (I voted for Hillary too!), but it shows an utter lack of regard for established canon. A slap in the face to Gene!

Is there a rule against posting pics for venting/levity?

It's never been anything close to 'canon' that the Klingons were the Soviets. How could that ever be canonical? The part you're missing from your article is that they are talking about an analogy for political divide, not one side being trump supporters. Two sides diametrically opposed to each other, and how you make peace with that. I'm not sure there's much more of a Star Trek topic than that.
